Unfortunately Vivaldi email service is not the way to go. Very little energy has been put into it. There are other services that are much better. However they do have the best browser I have ever used.

@chardo137 and @GTLC sorry to hear about your frustrating issues. We can all learn from your experiences and take your examples as reminders to limit our trust electronic services and have backup plans! It's just a shame it's caused you the inconvenience now. I saw similar issues and had similar conversations when the "O2" phone network went down for a couple of days in the UK earlier this year. This has just strengthened my resolve to keep as much as possible paper-based.
I never use my phone as a boarding-card. I always receive boarding cards by post, or print at home, (or print at the airport). A piece of paper never runs out of battery, can't be infected by a virus, and is less desirable for a thief to steal. You also don't accidentally drop it in your coffee while trying to change the songs it's playing, half an hour before your gate opens! 😱 The first time I even discovered e-boarding cards, I actually thought, "this is complete and utter madness! surely they can't be serious!" - but now everyone uses them. Well, everyone except me!
@chardo137 Vivaldi mail has been most reliable for me, so this was hopefully isolated. I accept a free service will not have a guaranteed service-level agreement in place, but usually they're great. Please, please bear in mind the consequences of continuing to use GMail before you ditch Vivaldi mail. Are you sure it's really worth it? You can always send your potential new employer an explanation message to notify them that the message might not have come through. If you need a backup/secondary email account, you could also consider Disroot.org, Tutanota.de and ProtonMail.ch instead of G. All offer paid services in addition to free, so have additional incentive to provide a reliable service. I'm not affiliated with any of them, but plan to use at least one of them, which is why I thought you'd like to hear about them. I figured I can delete my Screwgle and Microshaft email accounts completely if I have Vivaldi and at least one other provider. If one goes down, I can still use the other. I hope you've got the job despite all the difficulties!
The only extension to add DANE/TLS support has ended development
I have been asking for this code to be integrated into the browser for several years, as it;
a) would avoid the problems the extension developers faced
b) make Vivaldi a world leader in secure authenticated browsing
However as votes are what get features added, not importance, don't expect to see this ability until the choice is taken away and it is forced on all browsers.
@sgunhouse Hi bud! I have also reported getting this email... It appears in my junk folder about twice a week, and occasionally in my inbox.
Unfortunately the usual methods of restricting this do not seem to work.
Sending an e-mail to "email@example.com" seems to be the most effective although I've never received an acknowledgement of the complaint. besides it takes too much time and effort.
With the advent of GDPR, if the site is in Europe a WhoIs is useless as almost all info is redacted.
Within 24 hours I got response from Vivaldi Support. It seems that what I want won't be implemented in the near future. Anyway, I was surprised to get such a quick and personal answer to my question- corporations usually neglect users' feedback and resort to canned responses.
