Snapshot 1.0.283.8 - Fixes to typed history, keyboard shortcuts for web panels and visual polishing
-
It's not terribly reliable, because you never know when it will strike. Just open lots of tabs, browse all of them, play a couple of videos, get the RAM usage really climbing. Then start opening new tabs from links inside other pages and sooner or later one of them will open but never fill the page. Then if you copy that url, add a tab with the "+" sign, and paste and go into that tab, the page will load.

The problem another user and I reported last week, seems to be still in need to be addressed: http://m.mlb.com/video/v488629983/91815-condensed-game-nyynym this is how we have fullscreen on Linux with websites using Flash http://i58.tinypic.com/4tvo9h.png
Thank you for the new snapshot. -
You have to refresh the blog before you can edit your own post. But then you have to edit it before the option to do so times out. I don't know what the timeout is, but I suspect it's several minutes.

this is not enough, but thank you
-
That's because right now, Vivaldi only remembers window state if you startup with last session.
-
It's surely better than before its ready.
-
It would also be nice to add a zoom control for web painels.
-
what about an auto-hide option for the bookmarks bar?
-
Thnx! Gonna try!
-
Maybe this is obvious to everyone else, but…
What is a Web Panel? And how does it work? -
(Installed for all users) my only issue is that Vivaldi doesn't come to the foreground when I click a link… Some, however, may consider that a unique feature.
-
When you click on links from external programs, they will open in the default browser in your system. To set Vivaldi as your default browser, go to Settings -> Startup and press button Set as Default. Is this what you need?
-
I've just tried 32 bit version and all the bugs listed above is still there
-
I can confirm the panel toggle issue
-
Youtube, most notably, has fallen into a state of "maybe it'll work" with this snapshot. I don't watch the same videos repeatedly, so I can't say which did and did not work between builds. But it doesn't seem to be coincidence that they're showing h.264 support in Vivaldi now that I'm getting so many "static" videos.
I'll take a look at maybe building the ffmpeg from Chromium for giggles, later. I peeked inside the ffmpeg.dll you deliver… There's something odd about it... Is it built with mingw?
-
If you go to a mobile web page such as Google Translate and add it as a Web Panel, then you can use it without leaving the current tab.
If you install my YouTube Panel you can watch videos while browsing.
-
Why reinstall browser? Just going to Settings -> Startup and pressing button "Set as Default" should set the browser to open external links. Doesn't it work?
-
Registered issue. For your reference, this is VB-4355.
-
It´s taken ;.)
