Snapshot 1.0.228.3 - With Chromeless UI
-
Ctrl+F11 is very good but in this mode I can t access the adress bar for typing adress or open a new tab. Maybe for adress bar and tab bar, add auto hide function. Keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures are not for me mostly
-
Thanks! Busy week indeed ….
And next is the traditional Monday snapshot ....
Or have you already something lined up for Saturday and Sunday :?:(Of course, we will all be expecting daily builds from now on ...)
-
Use F2 (quick commands) to type a url. If you want the speed dial/bookmarks/history, use Ctrl+t to open a new tab.
-
5 builds in one week. Awesome! Great job, guys!
Though there is one "big" feature that I really, really miss… Would it be possible to introduce the "Allow Empty Workspace" mode and enable tabs to be "minimized" like in O12? If a feature like this would make it's way into Vivaldi, I would be the happiest nerd on earth! -
Yes, this is known.
-
Could you implement Ctrl+Shift+V in the Chromeless mode? Or ability to copy url without leaving chromeless mode - for example F8 + copy copies the URL?
-
I can see that the Vivaldi button is visible whilst in Chromeless mode, so why not the Trash icon too
-
Ctrl+Shift+V not working is a bug. Thanks for reporting.
-
Or why not the [+] New tab button … but I think that would spoil the clean look. The main point is that this mode is for power users who know and use the shortcuts or Mouse Gestures.
-
Hi, thanks for the new snapshot.
I see that you have placed VB-3381 Middle-clicking speed dials broken when there is a scroll bar
When you will settle the same problem in the side panel of bookmarks? It will be made a trash for bookmarks? -
Indeed that is the primary use case. Though there is also the case of people who want to hide everything for a bit while they focus on one website for a while (toggle it on for a bit). You can also use windows instead or tabs and treat everything like its own webapp.
-
No left/right arrow cursor is shown for resizing panels on a web page like this one:
http://www.serif.com/appresources/PPX8/Help/en-gb/pageplus.htm
Resizing still works, but there's no indication that it can be done, or where one needs to drag.
This is similar to the no icon for middle-button fast scrolling bug.

What a great week for what is becoming a great browser. The TP4 is a huge step forward from TP3, and it's always exciting to get more features Thanks for all of your work! I can't wait to see what's next
-
- Videos from this site don't work.
- Settings panel doesn't show on desktop browser centre! (I have external monitor and always shows on the first one)
- Dev tools opens in new windows instead of the opened open(is not fixed to the browser)
-
Since you are back to adding features again, please work on address bar, bring back the drop down menu for typed URLs in the address bar and give us an option to disable inline URL auto complete in the address bar.
-
Tools > Extensions is greyed out for me, although I can still go to vivaldi://extensions manually.
By the way, if I go to vivaldi://apps and click on the big Vivaldi Icon, I insta-crash.
-
Sync please. Please 2!
-
Thanks for the new build, this is an impressive pace indeed!
My biggest gripe right now with the current state of the browser is mostly performance related. I can do without the extensions kinda but the performance especially concerning the speed dial is abysmal. Equally disappointing is the unresponsiveness of mouse gestures that often do not register and are still leaps and bounds behind the current Opera implementation. Interestingly they are even worse when they are performed on the speed dial page.
Here's hoping that things will start panning out on that front, especially now that TP4 is out of the way
-
When I middle-click on a link, it opens a blank window in the background instead of opening that link in a new browser window in the background.

Speed Dial's most annoying bug has finally been fixed and peace has been restored! Now I can finally have all my dials in one page without getting annoyed! Hooray!
Now just work on better organization of columns and rows numbers and fix the display problem! Then SD will be perfect!
Edit: I've been trying to organize my dials now, and I remember how annoying they can be when they just keep switching places when you try to slide a dial somewhere else. Just make an option to switch dials between one another instead of this sliding thing and we're good. Also, get rid of the X button, please.
On a side note, I find it incredible how fast you've been updating things for the past few days. What's gotten into you guys? Are you developing inside the hyperbolic chamber?
