Snapshot 1.0.167.2. Better keyboard-shortcut editing and user statistics
-
Up and running again now after a clean reinstall, but why so many processes? I have one extension and three tabs open.
Windows 7 64-bit, 32-bit Vivaldi.
-
This is something you actually need to notify to Panda about, rather than Vivaldi. The developers cannot do anything about false positives from anti-virus vendors.
-
After clicking the restore default, everything seems to work correctly now…
-
Even after closing the browser there are 19 process still running.
Too busy this week to mess about. Maybe next time.
-
- importing bookmarks still cause the import pop up window to hang for a long time.
- I noticed my import list include vivaldi
- import list doesn't appear in alphabetically order
- when importing opera 15+, does it import speed dials as well?
- I set my import boomark as my bookmark bar and alot of the subfolders in it appear greyed out and couldn't be clicked
-
Logged-off, logged back on again. Launched the browser again. 19 processes running, but no browser.
-
The middle button on SD is still broken (a relatively minor annoyance) , and is still broken the quickreply on vbullettins forums bug (VB-5453 is my report number), and that's less minor…
-
Weird, again. I wonder what extension? I have 11 tabs here and 13 processes. Maybe you have to scrub and start fresh. Lemme fire up the Win7 (32-bit unfortunately) and see what it does.
-
Hopefully next week you should see some nice improvements on performance
I want to turn the hands of the clock forward. I cannot wait to see what you have done.
-
Vivaldi can also email them about it once it's confirmed. Don't say they can't do anything about it, it makes you look silly.
-
E-mailing is not DOING something, and if an email is sent to one security vendor, it does nothing to alert other vendors. The user is responsible for the software on his machine, including the security software, and its proper and accurate operation. If my security software threw up a false positive, I would never dream of telling anyone but them. It's their screw-up. Complaining to the writers of the software that was falsely identified is a waste of time. They cannot re-write their software to make every Bayesian engine happy, nor should they try. Security software vendors need to quit fucking up the normal functioning of people's machines.

Can't help the knee-jerk reaction of Nuh-uh, even for a good cause. The collection of metrics alone (architecture, resolution, etc.) would be fine, but the unique ID is a red-flag, as it is currently unknown what would trigger it's re-generation (an update, a clean install, a restarted session?).
-
Beats me. My Win7 copy is humming right along. And with four tabs open and no extensions, I have seven processes - just as I would expect.

- Videos from http://gospodari.com not starting.
- Can't open SpeedDials with mouse scroller (button 3)
- Settings Dialogue opens in wrong position (in dual/second monitor) loads on the first one, not in the browser centre for example.
- There's no option to disable tab resizing preview.
- Inspect Element isn't fixed in the browser.
- code.visualstudio.com videos not working too!
- Youtube player is broken, when video is on full-screen then it's hard to show the player options on
-
Heh. Vivaldi can't show the image in the tinypic link above. You have to open it in a different browser.
-
Nice layout for the shortcuts section. Way better. Now we only need "Apply" and "Cancel" buttons.
During the previous week build, I had a few problem with Youtube. One of them was that, when trying to comment on a video, my thumbnail would disappear, giving space to a generic one that's used when the user doesn't have a profile pic, and the "Comment" button would fade out, making it impossible to comment. This problem still happens even on this week's build. Please, look into it.
Another problem I've had, again with Youtube, was that starting some videos would make Vivaldi close, but not a single of its processes would cease, requiring manual cancellation through the Task Manager. It still hasn't happened to me in this new build, but I will send word if it does happen.
Windows 7 x64, Vivaldi x64 build.

Edit: Now it shows. Don't know what changed.
-
Yes. For some reason it's not being detected by auto-update on my installs, either, though the TP3 micro-update was. So I just downloaded and installed over 162.9 and all is well.
-
Damn… It's a quite faster now! No tabs glitches so far... Well, very nice. I'll keep testing it. Thanks a lot.
