Opening external links
-
I searched the Mac category for "external links" and didn't get any hits, so I am sorry if this duplicates another post. I'm using Vivaldi 1.1.453.59 on El Capitan (10.11.4) and am experiencing a couple of issues when opening pages from links in external applications. 1) Vivaldi is not brought to the front, but it should be 2) Private windows are used, but they shouldn't be For example, while in Skype, someone pastes me a link. When I click it, Vivaldi will use a Private window if it was the last one I used. But whether a private window is used or not, Vivaldi is not brought to the foreground. I have to switch to Vivaldi manually. Regarding #1, if I click on an external link, I want Vivaldi to come front and center so I can interact with the page I am expecting to go to. As for #2, I don't think a private window should ever be used for external links, but maybe a modifier key or something could be added if privacy is desirable. The problem I encounter frequently is getting email notifications about merge comments or something in our SCM, but when I click the link, I'm taken to the login page in a private window even though I'm already logged in in a non-private window. The private window doesn't have the login cookie, so it thinks I need to authenticate.
