Hi Thanks for this cool looking browser, but I would like to know about few things that bother me so far and didn't find any permanent solution about them. 1. Do you want Vivaldi to save your password for this site? :S Is there any way to turn off the constant nagging about saving the passwords? If no, then that should be added as an option on the next version. 2. Bookmarks in the Panel. Since I imported all the bookmarks from Chrome I would like to know if there is a way to place all of the bookmarks and sub folders outside a folder they were in already. Not sure if anyone can understand what I want. http://i.imgur.com/kc08hE0.png How to open a site with one simple click on a bookmark of the panel? 3. Address bar. Why is there a bar on the drop-down menu (Search Bing, Search Google...) when I type on the address bar? http://i.imgur.com/QtoF1gN.png I know that is about searching from the address bar with the desired search engine but I think isn't necessary to be shown on the drop-down. Would like to know of a way to remove that from the drop-down. 4. Buttons. Couldn't find a way, other than disabling and enabling the extension so I can rearrange their buttons in my desired order. Please make it possible. Oh almost forgot, the home button, would like to have an option to remove it. 5. Start Page. That bar above, with the Bookmarks and History tabs. is there a way to disable it / remove it? http://i.imgur.com/mQZU03l.png Well that's it. I might have forgotten something but I'll post again here. Bye for now.

1. That option is included in the most recent snapshot https://vivaldi.net/
2. Right now, the bookmark panel is an organizer, editor and access to your bookmarks. It can't be used like the bookmark bar. However, in the latest snapshot mentioned above, you can single-click the bookmarks to open them if you select that setting. So if you move all bookmarks to the root folder, you can open the panel and select any bookmark with a single click.
3. No option for this at this time.
4. Yup - often-expressed desires
5. Nope. Not as yet.MANY MANY more options and features are on the roadmap ahead. Just about any way to customize the browser that you can imagine will eventually be possible.

I can't seems to find a way to do that. How to move all of the bookmarks into the root folder?
-
Close all of your folders until you see just one.
Create a new bookmark outside that one.
Drag all of your bookmarks into the space inhabited by the external bookmark.
Delete the folders.
Edit: or, just drag a bookmark from the most basic folder you can open, to the line above that folder. That establishes a space outside the folder you can move all of your other bookmarks to, and now they are all in the root folder.

Yup, that's it! WORKED

Hi Guys
Been using Vivaldi on & off for a month or so now, seems ok. Just a couple of points, and I'm not sure whether these are already on the radar elsewhere or not. If so, apologies for clogging the headspace.

I use a small screen (laptop), so use Bookmarks from a dropdown on the bar. It would be useful if right-click gave edit options in bookmarks so I can edit or delete a bookmark, create a new subfolder etc. At the moment it just goes to the page as if selected, left-click style.
-
I constantly run Taskmanager (yes, I'm in Windows & it's crap, but it's my job), and I see Vivaldi process instances increasing, usually as a new tab is opened etc. However, when the tabs are closed the Taskmanger instances aren't decreasing. Can you get a way of ensuring they remove cleanly from memory after closing?
Cheers

No, unchecking the "do you want to save passwords" does not work. Mine is unchecked and the annoying pop up still shows up. Every time.
Running Vivaldi 1.1.xxxxx on a Mac running OSX El Cap 10.11.5
Thanks

What? I could have SWORN that option does not exist in Vivaldi 1.1.
Edit: I checked. There is no such option in 1.1. Where is the user finding this option that doesn't work?
-
In Windows it's actually "Save webpage passwords", under Security. I'll presume OSX is the same.

Yes. But Version 1.1, the one user ofhawksandislands says they're using, does not have the setting. It was only introduced one snapshot ago, to the 1.2 version.

Just wanted to make a couple of feature requests:
- Close tab by using Shift+Click (I miss this from Opera)
- "Close tabs to the right" offered on a right click menu (closes all tabs to the right of the one you clicked)
Thanks for considering!

Middle-click on a tab closes it. That only takes one finger, not two.
The option to close tabs to right or left was introduced in the recent snapshots. https://vivaldi.net/
