Prime Video doesn't work on Vivaldi
-
Prime Video is (finally) available to every country outside of the US.
As a Prime user for many years, that's great, but there's a problem: it ain't working.
I've tested it on Firefox, no problem there.I've read that it might be to do with some NPAPI plugin or some such, which Vivaldi seems to have stopped supporting a long time ago.
So, is there any hope of Prime Video ever working natively in Vivaldi? Is there any workaround?
-
@Narushima - It's unlikely that any Chromium-based browser will ever support NPAPI. It's being phased out around the world.

Someone should tell Amazon, then.

Amazon Prime Video uses an HTML5 video player but Vivaldi is not yet on their list of certified browsers. If your browser is not on their list, they prompt you to install the Silverlight plug-in.

I don't think there's any technical reason why Vivaldi shouldn't work.

Just loading forever for me. No prompt for silverlight plugin as suggested.
Works in Chrome so a bit surprising it doesn't work in Vivaldi.

Maybe it's just a matter of user agent not identified, other video player have similar issues with Vivaldi, try User-Agent Switcher for Chrome 1.0.43

@iAN-CooG I've already tried that, it shows different error messages for different user-agents, but the video won't load anyway...
