Insane lag before loading anything
-
Hi I'm experiencing incredibly annoying lag with Vivaldi 1.1.453.45 (Developer Build) (64-bit) and earlier. Tabs open quickly, but the content loading doesn't begin before waiting maybe 15 sec. The same thing goes for opening vivaldi://about/ so it can't be a network issue. It's just a blank white page. This issue resolves itself by rebooting the computer and it always comes back after a couple days. When opening a new Vivaldi window or tab OS X console is full of following error messages: "27.4.2016 15.09.36,000 kernel[0]: Vivaldi Helper[7508] triggered unnest of range 0x7fff98000000->0x7fff98200000 of DYLD shared region in VM map 0x171d516ce19081cf. While not abnormal for debuggers, this increases system memory footprint until the target exits." and "27.4.2016 15.09.34,992 Vivaldi Helper[7505]: 15:09:34.991 ERROR: 177: timed out after 15.000s (0 0); mMajorChangePending=0" Restarting the browser or just logging in and out doesn't help. Only reboot. All other browsers are working just fine. EDIT: Also, after the tab has finally opened, it works just fine: all links open rapidly (if they open in the same tab) etc.

Ah, it's not just me then - but I didn't think to look in the logs
It's probably the single issue most putting me off Vivaldi - this and variations of it. Sometimes I click a link, the tab opens and the page loads. Sometimes I just get an "empty" window with no address in the address bar - and it never loads. Sometimes there's a delay and it loads. Occasionally the page loads but is empty and I have to go back to Safari to use it. -
Had to quit the browser yesterday for an upgrade, I think the "this increases system memory footprint until the target exits" bit in the logs understates things a bit ! When quitting, my virtual memory usage dropped by something like 5GBytes (yes, five gig) - that's quite a memory leak !
I'm assuming that's what the message means anyway. -
I installed the update that came out not long ago - made no difference. But since the release notes say that this is the last version that'll support OS X 10.8, I guess any fix isn't going to work for me. As it is, I've gone back to Safari for now - it's less hassle at the moment.

Recently, on a newly opened empty tab, when I enter a URL it gets directed through chrome extension mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli (speed dial ?), which leads to 1sec of lag (successive URLs at the same tab are ok). It's quite irritating. There is discussion regarding mpognobbkildjkofajifpdfhcoklimli in other subforums but I haven't yet figured out how to disable this behaviour.

The lag problem is still present with 1.3.501.6 (Developer Build) (64-bit) on OS X 10.11.5.

I also experience visual flickering when opening new tabs or switching between them.
I do not experience the lag nor the flickering in Win 10.
Cheers
