Cannot access Extensions/No streaming video
-
Greetings:
Running Vivaldi 15 on 64-bit XFCE Mint 18. Cannot bring up Extensions panel or page either via menus or keyboard short-cut. Also does not stream live video from sites as http://video.foxnews.com/. Otherwise Vivaldi works well. Keep up good work.

@jwg - Hmm. It's fine on my Mint 18. (Except streaming video, as I have not installed ffmpeg).
Have you been using Vivaldi for a while, or did you just install it?

@Ayespy Just moved from Opera to Vivaldi a week ago. Don't know whether it's the add-ons and can't test it since there's no way to get to them to adjust them. Chicken or egg problem. If there was a way to safe mode or purge all Vi's preferences to start over and see what happens I'd do it but removing and installing doesn't do it. The streaming failure has the same signs as Midori and SeaMonkey trying to.

See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/10388/refreshing-or-cleaning-your-profile
Edit: stream live video from sites as http://video.foxnews.com
works for me (linux Mint 18 Kde). -
@Ayespy Vivaldi holds its users settings in ~./config/vivaldi/Default so you could backup your vivaldi directory and then start testing. I would start with just removing the Default directory.

@cleverwise - I'm not having a problem. @jwg is.

@TbGbe All I get is a spinning spoked wheel instead of a live screen after logging in, both in XFCE and KDE Plasma modes Wondering whether this really some kind of Flash conflict since I also had FireFox and Chrome onboard and maybe they loaded their own Flash updates. I dunno. Not really a techie.
-
@Ayespy Yeah I just typed the wrong name. Thanks.
-
@dLeon - Sorry. I don't know.

Well, I don't have a foxnews login - so just looking as a guest.
You can see which Flash version is being used in Vivaldi Help/About.
(mine updated today to 24.0.0.186 ). Note: I use the "official" plugin from Adobe in Update Manager ... "Adobe-flashplugin".Firefox uses a different Flash so there's no conflict with that.
