@Gregor ui rendering process is still not separated from pages rendering processes. this causes a lot of pain with freezing. adding such animations will hurt the browser smoothness even more (currently Vivaldi is least smooth browser available)
-
@Stardust and to see bookmarsk just use a panel
-
@Pesala only as an option please. i love this quick removing of speed dial
-
The thing I am missing is to improve smoothness of the browser. Currently a single page can freeze whole UI and UI can freeze itself not allowing to do anything. Even simple click action response, like changing tabs, switching panels, etc - seems delayed, even I'm on i7, both on Windows and Linux.
Simple press and hold ctrl+t to see this effect. Opera reacts instantly and is even still able to animate things!
The only thing keeping me away from recommending Vivaldi to other people (I'm already using it as main browser, but I'm still envy looking at Opera) is Vivaldi lack of smoothness.

Double-click a tab to pin and unpin.
I'd also love more clicking options for tabs, but I'd prefer having it customizable, rather than hardcoded so one could customize.
Much like the TabMix plus extension for Firefox where you can customize Click, Middle Click, Double Click, and modifier combinations Alt, Shift, Ctrl, on the tabs or tab bar

Settings synchronization. I mean ALL settings. In a cloud.

Context-Sensitive Mouse Gestures
In Opera 12.17, I use GestureDown to Lock/Unlock tabs (Pin/Unpin) in the Button Widget context, i.e. when executed over a tab.
In the web page it will do other actions depending on the context:
Open link in background page | Go to end | New page
- Over a link, it opens it in a background tab
- Not over a link, it goes to the bottom of the page
- At the bottom of the page, it opens a new Tab.

advanced settings a la about:config in Firefox
The "equivalent" for about:config in Vivaldi/Chromium is:
vivaldi://flags/ -
@taravasya Have you tried this: Export / Import passwords in Vivaldi?
-
@Pesala It should be reported as a bug rather than a suggestion. But before you head over to that bug report page, keep in mind that the faulty font rendering on the website you showed, is due to the font family itself, which does not contain characters for polish letters with diacritical marks. It's the webdesigner's fault then (poor choice of Word Press theme for their website)...
Unless you meant something else, and I didn't see it?
-
@pafflick The issue was previously reported already as
(VB-22048) Faulty Rendering of Polish
Since Opera 41 and Firefox 50 render it correctly I guessed that it's a missing feature, like lack of support for fall-back glyphs, rather than an actual bug.

Please enable “double” and ‘single’ smart quotes in text fields, and for apostrophes.
It depends on the fonts used on a website, and has nothing to do with the browser itself. That's a request you should make to the website's owner / webmaster / webdesigner...
-
I'd like to have a History panel and History page.
-
Vertical list tab stacking that Opera 12 had, with ability to set own keyboard shortcuts that activate it(not just ctrl + tab, but anything I set), with tab previews beside it, would really help complete the tab navigation control.

You don't understand. I am talking about typing in text fields, like this forum post, or when creating a new blog post. I can type any text I want that's on my keyboard, and others with Alt + 0147 and Alt + 148 if not for the Numpad bug that interprets the 4 as Left or Back, and the 7 as Home, which replaces the current page!
All forums that I know of can manage to display curly quotes. Typing them is the problem.
In Opera I use shortcuts to type them, e.g. Ctrl W adds smart quotes to the selected text with cut and paste:
cut & Insert, "“" & Paste & Insert, "”"
-
@Pesala It's broken in Opera too, since I checked it in Opera and on the Google Fonts page to find out that those missing characters were not there.
IMO it should be considered as a bug. Though I haven't come across this issue till now, it's a quite rare occurrence (due to poor webdesign mostly, since every good webdesigner makes sure that their website is displayed correctly in every browser and a better webdesigner would never choose such fonts)... -
@pafflick Yeh. Thanks, but I know about this functionality. What about I talk, its permanent NOTcrypted DB or txt file in which Vivaldi will store passwords (instead cripted Login Data file, what anyway very easy may be encrypted). With such a file, I could customize synchronization of all need data...

[mistake, please delete]
-
@pafflick It renders correctly in Opera as my screen shot shows (and in Firefox). They both use an appropriate fall-back glyph for the l slash, while Vivaldi does not.

No, I prefer dropdown bookmark menu since classic opera.
