Fixing Settings window

Can you 1. cut unnecesary space in settings window? 2. expand settings window default width so there would be second "column" for elements? 3. make settings window to open again in the same section as left?

It's OK at 100% GUI zoom with English, so I guess it's a language thing. I like to use 115% zoom so the default size is not wide enough. I think the best solution is for the dialogue to remember its size. It would be nice if it also remembered the last tab used.

That space there is much needed to give some breathing room to the dialog. If everything were to be cramped up, it would create readability and legibility issues.
Specially on the left navigation. I think in the main page, the spacing could be slightly trimmed to the left and up, but not much.

These are really to big margins. -
@Gregor It may be a windows scaling issue as my system doesn't have the problem at 100% UI zoom.
I suggest enabling "Otwieraj strone ustawien w karciie" (Open settings in a tab" until this is fixed.
IMO the best solution is to rememeber the Settings dialogue size.

@Gregor This may be of use: White Space - Wikipedia
White Space
(...) it is an important element of design which enables the objects in it to exist at all; the balance between positive (or non-white) and the use of negative spaces is key to aesthetic composition. -
It looks OK to me from a design's perspective. The only annoyance that I find is that the settings window doesn't remember its size. And since it's too small on a FHD screen (but it fits perfectly on a HD screen), I use the "Open settings in a tab" option.
The "status bar" options should be on the right though, I don't know why on your computer they don't look like that. Maybe that's an OS related issue, as I'm using Windows 10 and those options are in two columns. -

It's a factor of the dialogue's width. If made slightly wider, three columns of settings will fit instead of only two (or one).
In Themes, set the width to fit two rows of five tiles, and then Display all. The width should now be sufficient for two columns of settings for all items, but it may depend on the length of language text strings.
Remembering the dialogue's size is surely the best solution, then everyone can adjust it once to suit their needs, and it will always come up looking the same (at least until more settings are added, and no, we don't need a setting for "Remember the settings dialogue size." It's important that this dialogue remains manageable for new users. Probably more advanced settings should be shown elsewhere as in opera:config. A button on the settings dialogue could open those advanced - modify at your own risk - settings.)

I was relating to @Gregor's screenshot in which he had one column of settings, whereas in mine's there are two columns, while the dialogue has the same (default) size.
