After I exit vivaldi it's still running in the background
-
After I exit vivaldi, vivaldi-bin is still running. I can see this with top or htop. I have to kill it every time because it's not seem to stop. I'm using debian testing. Is this a bug?

Make sure you don't have any extension which can work in the background.
Does that process use HDD/SSD more than "normal"? -
Also, check that vivaldi://settings/search#a ... "System ... Continue running background apps when Vivaldi is closed" is not selected.

Vivaldi:// search doesn't work -
Better to use chrome://settings/search#background(this changes to vivaldi:// after you press enter)

@TbGbe I've unchecked "System ... Continue running background apps when Vivaldi is closed" and there are less instances of vivaldi running. It's not yet clear to me why it takes a some time before the last instance exits.

exactly same for me...
my topic: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/12056/vivaldi-cant-stop-processes-after-close -
@gorm I did some quick tests and deleted $HOME/.cache/vivaldi; then restarted vivaldi (stable) in my xterminal. The behaviour was different. It produced less errormessages. In fact the only one i received was:
[14883:14883:1116/181513:ERROR:sandbox_linux.cc(343)] InitializeSandbox() called with multiple threads in process gpu-process.
After that vivaldi closes as normal.
