Search in address bar not working
-
Hi, I'm not sure why but, serach in address bar is not working for me for a few days. instead of searching in default search engine, it converts the search query into a url. for example, if I type "Vivaldi for windows" in address bar and press enter, the it'll go to address http://vivaldi/ for windows/ Please help me fix it. I'm not sure if I accidentally changed any setting. But I'm not sure which setting can disable search in address bar. Vivaldi 1.3.551.37 (Developer Build) (32-bit) Please help. EDIT: search in address bar works only if I use the nickname. But do I get it to search in default search engine when no nick is provided?

@Kanay:
Hi,
not sure if you find out since but go the same issue and took me a bit to find out , you need to go to privacy setting and enable this too :Somehow this was disabled after an update, i never touched it myself as far as i remember, and prevented me to use the search function on the address bar without using the search engine nickname.
Hope it helps
Thanks tons. It fixed the issue.

Why has this not been fixed in 4years?
reminds me why the heck a forum of a browser based on a "rolling" development model allows necro-bumps & resurrections.
