CMD + F Search menu won't close with keyboard.
-
When I want to close the CMD + F search menu I need to do it by clicking the 'X' button with my mouse. I couldn't find anywhere the keyboard shortcut for closing it. More annoyingly, is that if I hit ESC to close (like in any other browser), the OS recognize it as the command to exit full screen mode Thanks,

this happened in a beta snapshot of Windows version but has been fixed, esc quits the search box again in 1.3

confirmed also in the Windows version, esc quits the search but also exits full screen mode.

Mmm, just tried and for me it works. When I hit ESC it closes the search menu. But when the browser is in full screen pressing the ESC does close the search menu but also exits full screen mode. Seems like a bug!

Yup. Looks like the priority for esc is to exit full screen.

Any updates on this?

The issue of Esc not only closing Find in Page but also exiting full screen mode is tracked as VB-15981 for Mac and as VB-20429 for Windows.
As far as I know, the only situation when Esc does not close Find in Page is when you have moved the focus away from it (e.g., by clicking on the web page). This is tracked as issue VB-5775. As a workaround, you can hit Cmd+F to move focus back to Find in Page and then hit Esc to close it.

Thank you for the reply and the update it has an open bug.
Btw, for me when I hit ESC regardless of focus it exists full screen,
Thanks,
