Twitter videos not working
-
Hey Vivaldi community! I just downloaded the browser, and I actually really like it! I thought that the transition from my RAM-eating Chrome browser would be difficult, but Vivaldi is actually really quick, swift and easy to use! Now, onto my problem. I've installed some extensions (Adblock and a translating extension), and after logging on Twitter, I've been having difficulties running videos on the website. Youtube is working great, but Twitter videos are just not working. My flash player is up to date with the latest version, so that's not a problem. I'd love a solution if any of you has one. Thanks!

Some videos on Twitter use flash, some don't.
So let's start with the "basics":
What is the version of Vivaldi you are using ?
What O.S. ?What does the url Vivaldi://gpu show - just the Graphics feature section?
Also, can you provide links to videos which don't work?

Hey! Thanks for the response
I'm using the 1.2.490.43 version of Vivaldi in x64.
I'm on the Windows 10.This is what the provided url shows me: IMAGE (click)
And it's not one specific video, it's all videos (including GIFs).

Problems with GIFs is unusual.
As a quick test, try with a clean profile Reset profile by AyespyRenaming the folder ensures that you won't lose anything and just disabling extensions is NOT reliable.
If that still doesn't work, there have been reports of the 64 bit version having problems with hardware acceleration on some systems. You could try to disable it.
chrome://settings/search#hardware
(You must use the chrome url in Vivaldi as this setting is not yet available in the Vivaldi interface)
If you still have problems with it disabled, then you could also try the 32 bit version of Vivaldi.
You can install it as standalone so do NOT have to uninstall your 64 bit version first.Disclaimer: I use the 64 bit version on Windows 10 Pro and have NOT encountered these problems. Guess I'm "lucky" :oops:

Sadly, all you advised didn't work. I guess I'll just wait for a new snapshot or version of the browser. Thanks anyways!

@Sajadi:
Try out the 32 Bit version, much more stable and reliable as compared with the 64 Bit Vivaldi version.
I already tried out both

Same problem here. Using Vivaldi for Linux 1.2.490.43 () 64 bits.
GIFs don't play! A message is shown "This browser doesn't support video playback" -
@Sajadi:
Seems under some circumstances you have to install some Linux driver pack, there was a while something like that upcoming on the board. Seems Linux is missing some codes for quite some people.
Under Windows, no problem at all with the 32 Bit version.
Unless, users have Windows N (with no media pack), but there is an update available for that too.
