Typing short urls more easily
-
Hi composers, I have a question regarding Vivaldi Browser's url typing. If the url is short like "http://server/" I have to type the http-protocol before it. In Opera it was possible to show the browser that this is intended by appending a slash at the end like "server/" to get to "http://server/". Is this possible in Vivaldi? thx Broken666

How did Opera decide to use the http protocol? Was it just the default protocol?
Currently, Vivaldi (it seems) assumes http when the string you type looks like a server name, like containing a period character, such as "something.com/".
For a string like "something/", I'd rather want Vivaldi to assume "file:///something/" to access the local file system, because it's rarer to use a server name that doesn't contain a period.
My two cents.
