Mac delete key closes certain types of browser session
-
Hi In some Vivaldi browser sessions the delete key closes the session: Details: - When I access a site that hosts Microsoft Outlook Web access for exchange 2010, the session logs out as soon as I delete an email (delete key). I've learned to delete emails only with mouse right click. - When I remote into an server that presents an RDP session of HTML5 (via SoHa who use guacamole as their backend) the same thing happens. The browser session closes completely as soon as I dare touch the delete key. Other browsers do not have this behavior on the same web pages. Vivaldi: 1.3.501.6 (Developer Build) (64-bit) Mac: Yosemite 10.10.5

It sounds like "History Back" is erroneously triggered by the Backspace key on those pages.
If you go to vivaldi://settings/keyboard/ (sorry, the forum software can't make this a link) and remove 'Backspace' as a shortcut from "History Back" in the Page section, does that stop the issue form occurring?
IIRC, Chrome recently announced that they are going to remove Backspace as a default shortcut for history back, because it often causes accidental history back events for users. I think it would be a good idea if Vivaldi also removed it. If someone prefers Backspace as a shortcut for history back, it's trivially easy for them to add.

Hi
You are completely correct, thank you for the help.
I must say I could not at all find that keyboard shortcut until I did a search in the settings. But yes, removing history back keyboard shortcut was the fix I needed. Vivaldi is now usable. I would indeed suggest not using that setting by default.Bart
