Sticky setting "Desktop site" setting per site
-
When selecting "Desktop site", please make this a sticky setting so it does not have to be selected each loading a web site/page.

Hi, selecting from the menu it stay for the domain, if you want it for all pages you have to enable: Settings > Webpages > Always Show Desktop Site.Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite

Hi,
Sorry, I should have included versions...
I have 2 Android devices, a tablet on Android 10 and a phone on Android 13. Both are running Vivaldi snapshot version 5.7.2916.4.I have the setting "Always Show Desktop Site" disabled on both devices. For some sites, I prefer displaying the Desktop Site, so for those sites I select the menu option "Desktop site". In neither case does Vivaldi retain the site specific Desktop site setting. Are there additional steps that I should be taking for these specific sites to retain the setting or is this a known bug with the snapshot version?
Thanks

I test this a bit further and Vivaldi 5.7 only follow the menu setting "Desktop Site" for a tab, all in this tab stays in the desktop view.
If you use a different tab or close it, the settings it jump back to the default setting.
I guess this is by design, no idea how it should be, I never use this setting.Cheers, mib

I fully understand how this currently works, what I have done is posted in the Mobile Feature Requests a request for enhanced functionality, not a request for help.

Hi,
There's a Flag for that. You may modify and ask to enable it by Default.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply and help. I'll be testing this out. Since this is an available setting (albeit a bit clunky to get to), I still think that adding this an option in the standard app UI makes sense.
Thanks again!

Don't add the sites typing manually, they will be auto added, just check/uncheck from the Menu as usual.
