Debugging some random bug
-
Hey,
I've encountered a few times a bug that seems to appear randomly, usually after the browser (5.5.2805.44) has been used and left open for a long time (multiple days is quite common). It becomes globally really slow (even in webpages that are quite light), and some tabs may become unclosable (clicking the close button does nothing, even if waiting multiple hours, it's not just slow).
I've tried closing all tabs that I can, to free some CPU/memory but to no avail. The Vivaldi task manager doesn't show anything that strikes me out (but I'm not an expert).
What can I do to debug that kind of events when it happens? It doesn't crash, so there's no crash report.
Is there anything like that already reported? I've searched a bit in the forum, but haven't found these symptoms. Thanks!

@qligier You can check memory usage in internal task manager with
shift Esc
.If you have many tabs open, set all other except the current into hibernate mode (see context menu on tab in tabbar)

@DoctorG Thanks, I'll try hibernating background tabs.
