PLEASE change site tiles to Opera style.

Ok, so I really hate the website miniatures on Speed dial. They look like something very old. It would look million times more visually appealing to change it into Opera style tiles (like what's presented in this example): Could you possibly consider my feedback please?

Nah I like it more this way

So you like it ugly and uninformative? Well, I prefer it simplistic and modern looking. And informative.
There really should be option to choose between both styles. -

There really should be option to choose between both styles.Such options will come. But there is no right way or wrong way to do it. Half of users like thumbnails, half of users like oversized icons, and half of users want to be able to introduce their own custom images. Everyone will be accommodated eventually.

There really should be option to choose between both styles. For now you can
#1 follow the tips and tricks thread to customize the tiles to your liking
#2 use metro speed dial (which has only those metroish tiles) or FVD speed dial that has them as an option.
And BTW even Opium has them just as an option, they aren't the "opera style" ones

Of course, I like the thumbnail speed dials. And I have multiple speed dials from some of the same sites. So the favicon-style for me would be "ugly and uninformative." It's all a matter of perspective.

I dont like big cards, If i need to see content I go to the page.

Ok, so I really love the website miniatures on Speed dial. They look like something very useful & aesthetically-desirable. It would look million times less visually appealing to change it into Opera style tiles.
As many other users also opine [there's many previous threads on this topic], the ghastly Opera-nightmare non-thumbnails could be provided in future as an option, for those of that inclination… but never the only choice as per the stupid unwelcome decision made by Opera [whose earlier 15+ versions still used the "proper" thumbnails, til their designers apparently went mad]. The two biggest things that caused me to flee from Opera in Feb 2015 to V [though there were many other reasons too], were Opera's awful mandated change to those useless tiles, & their apparently intractable disinterest or incapacity to provide tabs stacking.
I agree. I think Vivaldi/Opera 15-esque SD tiles are much nicer looking. Plus, how much more informative is the new Opera way when you can already have the title under the tile anyway?
So this should definitely be an option for users: V-style tiles, and URL text tiles.
I think what I'd like to see with the Speed Dial is focus on having more of those V-style thumbnails for more websites. I know they have them for some sites like YouTube, but I'm unable to make it work for a YT thumbnail. It just ends up being the site page as the thumbnail, which is ugly for me so I leave my SD page stock. Some ease of use in modifying things is needed, and will probably come. Also, I don't have any background because I find putting one on slows down opening a new tab, so that could be optimized too. Would love to see these changes come in 1.3!
