[TERRIBLE]Xmarks not working at all
-
I installed Xmarks addon because I want to have my bookmarks synced but guess what?, After succesfully installing the addon and trying to login, Vivaldi auto closes every single time. If you try to login form the Xmarks icon located at the top right a grey window opens and nothing happens. If you go directly to the addon settings page and try to login from there, it shuts down, no error message shown. I'm also getting similar troubles with Google Calendar addon. Common guys, if you are going to put addon functionalities at least make it work, or else it would not be a better browser than mozilla. It is a shame because Vivaldi runs smoothly and is faster than awful Firefox but without addons...well...it sucks.

As you can see, the developers of the addons, besides of being rude in their answers, they confirm that Vivaldi has no optimization for addons, so please stop placing functions that are half made or doesnt work, stop lying to us with this!! See the response at the image attached!

You are rude too.
Where do you read Vivaldi support all Chrome addons?
Some are working others not.
Report here is good, maybe there is a workaround and/or Vivaldi developer put it on there todo listCheers, mib

Have you updated to the latest snapshot? https://vivaldi.net/ For a very long time, extensions like XMarks did not work with Vivaldi. The Vivaldi developers fixed this, and they worked for a number of months. Chromium 49 and 50 broke the functionality again, and now with the latest snapshot (1.2.470.11) the developers have restored it again. They are doing pretty well for swimming against the current. Have you tried the new snapshot?
One last note: you have entered a community of people of good will, with good manners. Please formulate your comments accordingly. Discourtesy, insults, and antagonism are not welcome on the forums.

Dear user.
Everyone looks for respect of own opinions and needs should start respecting other's work and ideas in first place.
There are a zillion of ways to workaround your (small) problem, and Vivaldi's own sync will come soon.
So just ask politely and you will get some good answers from other users.
Thanks.

Thanks for kind answer . didn't mean to be rude  . I was just a little mad because of the dev answer. I will try that and also I will be patience with Vivaldi development. My anxiety for trying this awsome browser to the full has won this time. Have a good week you all! :woohoo:

Thanks for kind answer too. My (small) problem relates to productivity. For me, using Google Calendar addon is pretty helpful. In that case my report needs to reduce to this: Chrome-Signin is not working with Vivaldi up to date. I haven't found any work arround (at least that works for me) eventhough there should be zillions of them. I guess I whould wait for this Chrome Signin to work for Google addons. Thanks and good day.
