Snap Layouts, Take Two – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2763.3

duplicate post (maybe a software or connection hiccup)

@doctorg: I'm using Windows 7 x64. I can 100% see it when opening Settings window.

@Thot
thanks but I've done it now: VB-91040 -
Did the fullscreen/maximized window bugs get reintroduced? They had been fixed in the 5.4.x snapshots, however they seem to be back again.

@GT500
yes, see discussion at page 2 -
@derday: Thanks.

ive had two crashes when closing tabs closed about 3 on both occasions, not quickly or anything and it closed, very cleanly it just shut down and had to be restarted.EDIT its happened twice more before i had chance to close any tabs, it seems holding the mouse at the top edge of the screen is causing it.

On the Private Window Introduction page, it doesn't seem like there is any way to close that tab or open a new one. So the only way to get around the introduction page is to enter something into the address bar (or open a bookmark from the side panel). In previous versions you could close the introduction page or open a new tab and get to your speed dial.

@ugly Yes, it is quite baffling. One can click the Home button, but opening a new tab from there just takes you back to the private window introduction page.

🪲Win 10/11: Creation of desktop shortcuts by Drag from adress field broken. Creates a file url.txt.
VB-91068 "[Regression] Dragging a link from the browser to the desktop on Windows10 writes a file with a .pro extension"
Worked in 5.4 Stable. -
@n8chavez: I have a (maybe) similar issue. When I maximize Vivaldi it looks okay. But when I minimize it and then maximize it again (e.g. by clicking on the taskbar twice), the complete UI is moved a millimetre to the left & upper side, so that a part of the UI is cut off (I don't have a second screen to where it could bleed over). Additionally, there's a nasty black bar on the right and lower side (between V and the taskbar).

@t0yz: Same problem here.
