Thanks, Question, Suggestion
-
First of all thanks for creating such an awesome browser. In order to make it even more awesome for myself I've got questions and/or suggestions. I've searched forums but coulnd't find proper answers so here are my questions, if the answer is "No you cannot do it" Please take them as kindly requests for the next version. 1- Can you remove the bar (which has bookmarks, history link etc.) from Start page 2- Can we change order of Open Link in background new tab with first one? If not, how can I sent the first option "Open in new tab" to open in the background so when I click on it it does not go to tab? 3- How can I change the colours of PRIVATE window so it won't have like black address bar etc. 4- Can we disable saving history as in firefox ? Thanks! Attachments: ,

Not officially/not yet
But we have a customization thread where you can look/ask for any related question
2- Can we change order of Open Link in background new tab with first one? If not, how can I sent the first option "Open in new tab" to open in the background so when I click on it it does not go to tab?
Middle button, ctrl+click, or gestures
3- How can I change the colours of PRIVATE window so it won't have like black address bar etc.
Same point 1
4- Can we disable saving history as in firefox ?
Not yet trough Vivaldi' own settings panel, but you already can using the following link
vivaldi://settings/search#pas
-
That's chrome://settings/search#pas
-
That's chrome://settings/search#pas
vivaldi://settings/search#pas
Works for me, not for you?
-
Nope. The vivaldi:// address just takes me to the vivaldi settings page.
The chrome:// address takes me to the chrome password and autofill controls.
IF I HIGHLIGHT the vivaldi:// address and select "go to," then it goes to the address. But if I type or paste it into the address bar and press "enter," it opens the regular vivaldi settings page.

Yes you're right
Chrome/Vivaldi dualism is still far from perfection (and devs are aware of that)

Thanks for quick response.
Your answer about gestures brought another question if you can edit gestures. For the gesture I want to open links in the background tab, it would probably cause me carpal tunnel syndorme. (up and down on a google link)
I tried vivaldi://settings/search#pas this, it opens fine but could not find anything related to history?

I guess there's no way to prevent saving history, except to browse incognito all the time.

Stay tuned to get the new snapshot, you may get some surprise

Yes there's a gesture for that, look at the available ones

Sorry I misread your request
If you don't want the history saved, just use a private window
or try this
