Tabs in titlebar, or get rid of titlebar
-
The titlebar is a waste of space. Other browsers let me put tabs in or over the title bar, or shrink it to nothing. How do I do that with Vivaldi in Windows? ~ Thanks! SOLUTION: Settings > Appearance > Use Native Window > remove checkmark :S possibly the most anti-intuitive setting in Vivaldi  And now, I'll try to close this thread. Thanks!

Read the UI customization thread. https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/3073-vivaldi-ui-customisations?limitstart=0

Already found it; possibly the most anti-intuitive setting in Vivaldi:
Settings > Appearance > Use Native Window > remove checkmark
I'll post this in the suggested thread as well.
And now, we should close this thread. Thanks! -

Yeah. When I turned that setting on and saw what it did, I immediately turned it off and have never tried it again. So it didn't occur to me that the OP had turned it on, didn't notice what it did, and was complaining of the Native Window titlebar. After all, many who DON'T use that setting complain of wasted space at the top of the browser, and therefore have modified CSS to get rid of it, as shown in the thread I linked. I really thought OP was among that group of users.

The problem arises because if you do turn that setting off, nothing changes until you restart the browser. That makes it easy to turn it off, and not notice what effect it has.

Technically should be until you open a new window, but yes that can be a factor. But help will improve, and I hope, more visual clues like the ones about the themes. And I'm proud of them given they are a my idea / request that was nicely accepted and implemented by the team.
