[BUG] Handling of domain-less names in address bar broken
-
I use Vivaldi also for internal systems with URLs like http://foobar/baz . When I type foobar/baz directly into the address bar this will turn into a search; I kind of understand that, because it is not a clean URL - although old Opera gets it, Firefox does, Chrome doesn't. Ok, so I have to prefix http:// to make it clear and then it works. Now I want to change the URL directly, say, turn foobar into foobaz. Fail! Obviously, the address bar not only hides the ugly http:// prefix - which is a good thing - but it forgets about it when I start modifying the URL. So I'm forced to type http:// again. Not nice!

Disabling search inside the address bar solves this once and for all.

Yes, disabling search in the address bar "solves" it, but that should not be necessary. This is a bug but close to a feature request as well Would be good with a bug report at: https://vivaldi.com/bugreport
I'll keep an eye on it
