Seriously? Lol.. your previous answers were implying you were a developer or whatever from their team saying what is and what is not able to be implemented.. then is not up to you to decide if something can be implemented or not just because it has a different UI or because it uses a different technology or whatever is the reason you find.

I fear you mistook my answers as being my dictates rather than my opinions. Just because I know my way around the browser and the development history to a large degree, and have absorbed the policy statements, interviews and forum and blog posts of the founder and the developers, doesn't make me a member of the Team. If you read my comments carefully, you will see I only comment on what IS (which anyone who knows the browser can do) or give an OPINION as to what might be. "One would think so" is clearly an opinion. "…may become available..." is clearly a guess. Etc. I'm sorry if you thought I had some role in the process, but your last question made it clear you might have a misapprehension as to what I was doing here, so I made sure to clarify. Developers RARELY post here. If you don't see red dots under a commenter's name, assume they are not employed by Vivaldi. We users (and the outside testers) just get blue dots.

I tried to use Vivaldi to load a *.gif saved on my desktop, but initially it didn't work, appears an icon of broken image. I clicked on it with RMB and chose to 'Open image in another tab" and then it works. To load a *.jpg image I needed to click on the menu/open file and then choose the image. In the future I will be able to just drag and drop an image to load it?
If I use File/Open File
Both .gif and .jpg open first time.Drag and drop does not work with either. But I expect this would be "in the pipeline" for future updates.
I'm also just another user

I don't want to step on Ayespy's toes, but… I've noticed he has a tendency to state "this will happen" instead of "I think this will happen" or "this is unnecessary" instead of "this is unnecessary in my opinion" - so yeah, it does sometimes come across as if he knows more than he actually does…

Gee. Thanks a ton, Mossman. I think! I'll try to include more qualifiers in future. But you may have noticed I answer a huge number of questions, and by now, I'm tired, and I'm just trying to keep my verbiage as short and simple as possible - except in the rare instance when I'm trying to adjust the viewpoint of a user who wants to know "well, why doesn't Vivaldi just make the sky turn red?" or some other technically advanced feature which we're not privileged to enjoy in Vivaldi just yet.

Which was why I also started with a qualifier about stepping on toes!
No offence intended…
-
Well, I'm pleased that my toes appear to merit a modicum of deference…

Well, I don't want to spend more time in this discussion, but just take a look at my question and your answer:
If the above idea is implemented, there could be option to choose what image will be showned in the bookmark thumbnail (like Opera)
No, Vivaldi is not Opera. Options and UI will be different."It doesn't seem like just an opinion, it sounds like a statement, what consequently made me think you were part of Vivaldi team. The fact they have different UI doesn't mean something cannot be implemented.
Don't be ofended if people come to this forum comparing Vivaldi to their current browsers. This shows people are willing to change their browsers to something new and it's absolutely normal if they start making comparions or if they want some features which they are already used to, to be implemented in Vivaldi. The fact that you know "everything" about this browser since earlier days, doesn't make you more special than other users here. I guess Vivaldi' slogan says "Vivaldi Browser - Not for everybody, just you", right? Unless, "just you" means "just you, Ayespy"
@TbGbe thanks for your reply, did you try with an animated gif?

@TbGbe thanks for your reply, did you try with an animated gif?
Yes I did.
But I just realised there had been a fix in the snapshot (1.1.443.3) after Release 1.0 for this issue.
If you want to check for yourself, you could try the snapshot (or just wait for an official update to Release 1.0 which would be more stable )Snapshot Blogs - https://vivaldi.net
