Tab Bar text rendering broken when scaled 80% [SOLVED/FIXED]
-
default 100% https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28788188/ss_25112015_15.04.51.png resized 80% (anything below 100% is affected) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28788188/ss_25112015_15.05.13.png as you can see on the resized picture some tab names are blurry. weird thing is that not all of them are. this thing happened about 1 month ago with a vivaldi-snapshot update (dont remember which version was the last working though) Arch Linux x86_64 MATE desktop, Xfwm window manager nvidia drivers 358.16

Thanks for sharing such thorough feedback and screenshots. Sorry for the trouble! As mentioned on Twitter, you will potentially see some effect with ui zoom on due to the possibility of half pixels.

hmm yeah but how to fix that? i tried setting my DPI up and down but still no go.. default dpi is 96 for me.
only way to get rid of it is to start vivaldi with –disable-gpu , then everything is fine, but gpu acceleration is needed for pages like youtube and so on, so its not really a good workaround...
so theres some problem with gpu rendering? -
I'm going to check internally and get back to you ASAP. Thanks in advance for your patience.

This is hard to fix when zoomed in at 80%. Currently there is no proper work around sorry!
-
sad to hear that
cant use the browser until then, because 100% UI scale is like using a tablet for me, way too big, steals screen spacehopefully theres fix some day
-
Yes we hope so too!
-
just an idea.
is it possible to disable gpu rendering for the interface but have it only for the websites?
cause if i disable gpu(with –disable-gpu switch) it renders all fine -
Hello,
It seems this problem is solved. I dont know if it was fixed in vivaldi or something else changed in my system, but it seems to render all perfectly now. Thanks.
currently using version: 1.3.534.3 (Developer Build) dev (64-bit)
