Is there any way I can disable this from happening each time I type? Attachments:

Hi and thanks for your reply…
But if you're referring to this setting (Address Autocomplete) :
It's already unchecked…
Am I missing something?

Wrong setting.
He meant under Settings/Privacy
"Disable Search Suggestions in Address Field" -
Hello to you, and thanks for your reply,
But this is still not the answer for me it seems…
Here are my privacy settings:
Is that setting (Disable Search Suggestions in Address Field) only available in the beta version or something?
-
It's the 3rd option in the 1st column, under "Third Party Services". Simply check "Disable Search Suggestions in Address Field".

I'm afraid RVieira has misspoken. That is a different setting, which disables search in the address field altogether. There is another setting, at chrome://settings/search#privacy which enables you to turn off the prediction service. Don't know if that will do what you want or not, as I have never tried it. But it is there.

Fascinating. That setting must have been added in 1.0.420.4 (not even translated yet), which most of us cannot run on a regular basis, because of all the bugs. Looking forward to a much more stable snapshot later this week so everyone can benefit from the new options and settings.

Hey thanks guys,
I found these in chrome/settings/privacy as Ayespy suggested:
But the applicable box is already unticked.
It seems this is something that will be addressed in the next stable version as mib2berlin has shown us that this feature is "in the pipe" as it were. So I'll be patiently waiting
Thanks for your help everyone!

Yep, Vivaldi Beta 3 was/is "essentially version 1.0.403.20".
