Snapshot 1.0.340.7 - Silent Tabs For Users, Netflix support and HTML5 notifications
-
Hi y'all, Today's snapshot introduces a new feature, something we internally call “Silent Tabs For Users”—an easy way to kill annoying sounds in the browser. We also added Netflix support, HTML5 notifications and of course fixed a bunch of bugs. https://vivaldi.net/en-US/teamblog/70-snapshot-1-0-340-7-silent-tabs-for-users-netflix-support-and-html5-notifications //Christian - Vivaldi Technologies

This version introduced very weird behavior of user's icon on youtube. When i click on my profile icon it works like double-click, menu shows up and hides immediately. To logout from youtube i have to workaround it by going to gmail and log out from there, on gmail the same icon works ok.
Windows 10 Treshold 2 Enterprise x64 1511 build 10586.14. Resolution independent issue.

Annoying bug that causes focus being magically lost after clicking in search field (in newly opened tab) still exists

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
I've broken my bookmarks tabI had accidentally created a folder inside trash….
Then moved it to "root"... and restarted V.
My shiny little trash had melted into one big something!
And itd irremovable xD
PS. 4 restarts later - problem magically disappeared! xD
Hell yeah! Auto-bookmark-fix feature in Vivaldi is doing great job -
I'm getting complaints from users that their Vivaldi browser is not detected properly due to "Vivaldi/#.#.#.#" missing from the User-Agent string:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/47.0.2526.64 Safari/537.36 ```Please fix.

gift animate and facebook video cannot play…

gift animate … cannot play...
Do you have an example URL for the gif animation problem, or is that only on Facebook? Non-Facebook gifs run fine here on 1.0.340.7 (32bit) under Win7-64.

Unfortunately the faulty trash problem got back after several restarts…

Vivaldi will mask it's user-agent on some pages due to bad browser sniffing. This might be the case here, but hard to say without knowing what page this is on.
