Treat URL on copying as text and not as draggable object
-
Hi there, I used to use opera before it was bought by FB and I really loved one feature. It's kind of often that you need to copy copy certain text, especially when the copy is written well, usually the most interesting part is the title/header and such, and if you want to copy the URL, you basically have to find the start and end and than copy it whole; where in the old opera you could just copy anything as standard text, and it was not trying to make it draggable Example: ----------------------------- This is text [this is some link,] and some more text. ------------------------- Now in the old opera, I could just select (with mouse) the interesting part "some link" the same as any other text. It was not trying to convert it to draggable object, it let me copy what I wanted. Do you know how to mimic this behaviour in vivaldi? Or would you consider to implement it the same way? Thank you, K.

Try selecting the text from right-to-left instead of left-to-right, it seems to matter.

thank you for your reply, I'm currently on Windows 10 and it's same, does not work what is your OS? I will try on Debian to see if there is some difference.

That's a total bummer, I hate it when I try to select text and it gets dragged like an object instead of selected/highlighted!
I'm on Windows 7 x64, sometimes I have to left-click a blank spot on the page next to the text I want, then sneak up on it and highlight it right-to-left but it doesn't always work.

seems like a bug then, any idea where to report that?
