Log in needed every day
-
I have to log in every day for a couple of the url's I keep open. It is a two step process; the User name is filled in so all I have to do is click Continue. Then the Password is filled in and I click Continue or Login and I can look at my gmail or forum information. It's just a nuisance and I wonder if I am missing some setting. Checking the box about keeping me logged in always does Not work. How can I fix this or is that just how it is? Thanks, Dick

Sometimes that is due to some broken cookies.
You can try to delete the ones for the site taken in account, and see if it helps (just click on the lock icon on the left of the address bar)

Solutor,
I tried that, didn't work.
Now I even have to Log In again for this Forum. So there are now four tabs I keep open that require me to Log In again every day.
Any other suggestions?

Can we safely assume you don't have your cookies acceptance setting under Privacy set to "Never"? Also, are you using any browser extensions that can block or alter cookie behavior? Finally, are you auto-running any programs like CCleaner to remove various privacy-related files on a daily basis?

DickThis forum is a notable exception, it never retained reliably my logon status since the day one.
But isn't worth to beat that dead horse, I think some community novelties will come in the next future.

Privacy is Not set to "Never". Only extensions are Ghostery & Download.
Rarely run CCleaner.
Interestingly, If I hold the cursor over the Tab, such as Gmail, the thumbnail displays a list of emails. But when I click on that Tab, I have to go through the two step Login.
Annoying, but I can work with it.
