As for this
[VB-81579] Incorrect inactive tab background with Accordion Tab Stacking on and Transparent Tab Bar on
Enable: Tabs > Tab Features > Tab Stacking > Accordion
Enable: Themes > Color > Transparent Tab Bar
Disable: Themes > Edit Theme > Apply Accent Color to Window
Stack some tabs. Expand the stack. It should happen now, but on a default profile you'll see it better with:
Enable: Themes > Background > Blurred Circle Dark[VB-81580] Incorrect round corners for active tab
Enable: Tabs > Tab Bar Position > Bottom or Top
Set: Themes > Edit Theme > Corner Rounding to 10px or more
Disable: Themes > Edit Theme > Apply Accent Color to WindowIt should happen now, but on a default profile you'll see it better with:
Enable: Themes > Background > Blurred Circle Dark
Enable: Themes > Color > Transparent Tab BarI feel like I could write the reproduction steps with much more care to make sure they can be applied easily on an entirely new profile and the issues are immediately visible. I'll, again, reply back to the original emails. I hope those steps will make the issues much more reproducible.
-
@infosrefanvlad Had you replied to your bug with these new steps?
You should do it, otherwise the bug report will get the state Cannot reproduce and more investigation stopped. -
I don't know if this is a new feature, but unfortunately I still don't close the bookmark folders in the sidebar as I should with the left arrow, but I can open and close it with the right. This mode is very confusing.
-
@csablak Maybe something wrong with your profile or keyboard. Here, Left Cursor collapses folders, and Right Cursor expands them.
-
@doctorg Yes. I tried to take extra time to remove any sloppiness, then replied with the new steps.
-
@csablak Yes, this is a bug. It happens if Bookmarks/Notes etc is sorted by Title.
I've reported it as:
(VB-81261) LeftArrow fails to close folders in Bookmarks, Notes panels/tabs -
Check for updates from 4.1.2367.3 nothing happens after you open the browser, quit and open Vivaldi snapshot and try again and the check for update works.
-
Can't wait for the 4.1 GA!
-
@ruarí: latest update: I think I isolate one of the triggers on my profile.
If I let „Show Status Bar” active, all „Capture Area to File/Clipboard¨ is working as intended, otherwise I don't see active the selection cross-pointer. -
@gif2d What is your UI Zoom setting? If mine is 105% I still get the camera icon but it is misplaced. The Status Bar setting has no effect.
(VB-81763) Capture Selection Camera Icon Misplaced if UI Zoom not 100%
-
@gif2d That's it, I confirm it happening here as well. Once set the Status Bar to hide/overlay, keyboard commands for capture area don't work.
Works in 4.0 Stable, so a clear regression that should be fixed before 4.1 is released.
Great detective work! The power of empirical evidence

This blog entry for some reason is not published in the blog RSS (https://vivaldi.com/blog/feed/). First time seeing that a snapshot blog entry is not in the RSS feed.
Has there been a change how you publish your RSS feeds or is this a single incident?
-
@gif2d I confirm it too: with Status Bar set to Hide/Overlay,
Capture Area to File/Clipboard
doesn't work either with QC, KB shortcuts or from Menu.MacBook Pro Early 2015 | macOS 10.12.6 Sierra | Vivaldi 4.1.2369.10
-
@hlehyaric Unable to confirm here. With the Status Bar hidden and Ctrl+Alt+C assigned to Capture Area to clipboard and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C to Capture Area to File, both shortcuts work fine to display the selection marquee and capture the image.

I confirm it too on my Win10 64bit. After hiding status bar, both Capture area don't trigger anymore by keyboard or Tools menu.
-
On Windows 10 64-bit, I've set the taskbar to "automatically hide" in Windows settings. Recent snapshot versions did not display the taskbar when I moved the mouse to the screen edge. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
-
With this latest update, If I use "Capture Area" through the icon on the status bar, the area that is "lit up" while dragging is larger than the actual selected area; though the dotted line shows accurately. Also, on random occasions, the captured screenshot will include the "capture" button in the screenshot.
EDIT: This is on Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Version 21H1.
-
New rule: If Vivaldi's (not Chromium's, since this doesn't happen on Chrome) flags almost any EXE that you try to download as potentially harmful to your computer, forcing you to click something to proceed with the download, it should do the same for downloads of Vivaldi.
-
@pesala Agreed. Works fine on my Win10 Home, 64bit (21H1).
Whatever way I try works:
Copy Area to Clipboard > open Irfanview > Image >Create New (empty) Image > Paste. Works like a charm thou I rarely use this feature. What image programme are you using to Paste (Paste Special) into?
P.S.
My taskbar is almost Always hidden. -
@okaybadger I think this is a Windows issue. I've had issues with Taskbar for the last two - three updates, Even with Notepad.
May be a combination of things also??? with Win/Vivaldi/Notepad?
