Do Installed Snapshots Change the Way Vivaldi Works?
-
I've installed the last 2 Vivaldi snapshots [1.0.380.2 & 1.0.385.5] but I still don't see the options for "Color Active Tab" & "Color Area Behind Tabs" from settings>Appearance>Interface Color. Shouldn't these changes appear after installing these snapshots? I submitted this issue as a bug report after snapshot 1.0.380.2 but this option still isn't working. [I use Linux Mint 17.2 MATE & download & install snapshots when they appear in the Mint Update Manager.] Thanks!

You may have two separate installs of Vivaldi on your machine now. Linux does not replace a Beta with a snapshot, but rather installs it alongside. You need to make sure you are opening the correct version.

Oh duh! Thanks, Ayespy, I went to the Mint "Internet" folder & the snapshot was there waiting. Prior to this I assumed that snapshots were treated as updates. Live & learn!

@Gwen-Dragon:
Snapshots (Testing) and Betas are different channels, so they have separate install folders.
But the desktop shortcuts for Beta and Snapshot differ.
You took the wrong one?Yup, I never thought about looking for snapshots in Mint's "Internet" folder til I saw Ayespy's reply; instead, I always started Vivaldi [Beta] from the desktop icon & wondered why I never saw any changes.
