Center button click in Vivaldi on Linux
-
Hi,
Typically on Linux the center (scroll button / wheel) has a click option where in any selected text get pasted in a text field. However when applied to the browser window it should close the tab on which the mouse cursor was when the scroll button was clicked.
ISSUE: However apart from this expected operation, it also pastes the text in the location / address bar in the active tab.
This may not be a major issue but it is a simple and much used functionality. I was wondering if anyone else observed this specific issue.
I am using:
Version : 4.0.2312.33 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)
Revision: 75595d1359deaec4b68624c45e95be53e1e6ad13Thank you

@ekmungi
Hi, to make it more clear for me, MMB click on tab close the tab, MMB in address field past text.
MMB in browser window does nothing.
Work as expected for me.Cheers, mib
EDIT: WM is not in my signature, I use KDE. -
I'm not sure it is a bug, it is related to "Focus Page Content on New Tab", if you have that ticked nothing happens with middle click as the focus is not in the address bar, otherwise the last tab (which is Speed Dial) is your new tab so it receives the paste data.

@guigirl yeah it was a typo, I forgot (temporarily) what tick/untick was doing when I first wrote about it
