Tweaks and improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2305.3
-
@ornorm Here, it is Page Actions, which means user style sheets. This has nothing to do with chaining commands.
-
@pesala Sorry, I don't understand your answer.
I just verified if I had the Chained Commands under QC settings
because you answeredWhat, for me, in addition to the question
Are you using a non-public release?
indicated that you didn't have such new entry under QC settings.
I just confirmed the new entry is available in the last public released Snapshot.
What is the link with
it is Page Actions, which means user style sheets
and
This has nothing to do with chaining commands.
It's not the point.
Can you please clarify? I'm lost.
-
@pesala You have to reset the list for the item to appear.
-
@rexfahrer @Ornorm
Settings/Quick Commands - "Reset Priority"
"Chained Commands" appears!Confirmed
-
@pesala No, regular snapshot. I see the option in the QC settings, but I have no idea how to use it (tried pipes, &, and other ideas)

Encountered one issue so far:
I always use the separate Search Field and had all my settings set for that.
After update install toVivaldi 3.9.2305.3 (Official Build) (64-bit) I've lost the Search Field.
Settings had been reset to 'Search in Address Field' as on.
Changed it back.
Can we keep these (this) settings on updates?? -
@pesala said in Tweaks and improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2305.3:
@sjudenim You must have saved the bookmark before disabling the setting. Delete the bookmark, disable the setting, and restart for good measure. No description is added if the setting is disabled. No doubt, existing descriptions are not deleted.
Still happening today with any new bookmark and the setting not selected. It's simply not working for me

@pathduck Re: the search field disappearing when you hide the tab bar, I noticed this glitch a while ago in an internal snapshot: VB-79878
-
@operafanboy Well, THAT'S weird. Can't test it, as I don't have/use chromecast.

Be sure to mention any settings and extensions you have and whether it works on a new profile.
Be sure to mention any experiments you have enabled. -

@operafanboy @Ayespy @guigirl ayasaid in Tweaks and improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2305.3:
@ayespy: This bug does not happen on sites that have chromecast integration, such as Netflix and Youtube.
This only happens when I send a Vivaldi tab to Chromecast (in the screenshot example, Amazon Prime Video).I also do not have a chromecast device. I had no open sites at the time.
Also I almost always keep the tab-bar Minimized. Don't recall the status of it at that particular time I updated.
Not sure why my settings were changed but being a wee bit OCD about such things, they were. -
@operafanboy Which point? I made several.
-
Still no news on the new tab wallpaper not updating with the windows wallpaper?

My mistake. Sorry I was thinking Panel bar.
Not sure why my settings were changed but being a wee bit OCD about such things, they were. WTF!
Pardon me but I take a lot of time going through the Settings as I use the Snapshot channel. Sometimes new settings are introduced and others become deprecated.
I did the same when I was an Opera user and do the same with FF which I also use periodically.
The browser is the most used programme on this computer. I prefer it to be consistent in its layout and appearance.I mention chromecast as it was mentioned also. The update installed and when I relaunched Vivaldi my Search Field was missing and Setting > Search > SearchOptions: Search in Address Field was checked (something I never have enabled).
That is why I asked if the change could be made to save those settings when Updating the Snapshot. -
