Backspace button takes me back to the previous page
-
Hi Whenever I post on forums running on IPB and XenForo using Vivaldi browser, whenever I quote someone's previous message in my reply, the backspace button doesn't delete text anymore, but rather it takes me to the previous page. It's a very frustrating bug because it literally makes me lose all the text I had typed. I'm running Windows 8.1 and Vivaldi the latest version.

Thanks for confirming it. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. I like Vivaldi and I want to use it as my main browser.

My bug VB-10499 is still open.
Anyway the problem is partly mitigated now, because on recent versions the backspace key is customizzable.

What does that mean?

What does that mean?
Just assign the back shortcut to something else than backspace or remove the shortcut altogether.
It's a workaround, not a fix, but surely better than facing the problem.
A workaround that wasn't possible when I opened the bug given the back function was hardcoded and not customizzable.

How do I do that?

Re: Backspace button takes me back to the previous page
How to disable, go to settings-keyboard, then click on Page. After scroll, all way down and find
Delete "history back" shortcut and make it have no command. There you go. -
@Kavan Even easier, type "History back" in the search field when you open the settings dialog.
