Updated
I was wondering when the new round of Snapshots would begin ^^ -

Finally a 3.9 snapshot…
Let's play with it! -
This is the one with a bump to 91 right? I lose track.
Chrome 91 Flag Changes
- #overlay-scrollbars is back - but doesn't work for me
- #debug-packed-apps is back - it works! great for modders
- #side-panel and new #side-panel-prototype ᕙ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ᕗ chrome is vivaldi now? for now only works with #read-later
- #enable-removing-all-third-party-cookies - get rid of all your 3rc party cookies in one go? I'm guessing it's only in somewhere like chrome://settings/siteData
- #enable-jxl - new image formate "Jpeg XL". no idea what that is
- #draw-predicted-ink-point - web might be finally getting some decent ink support?
- #media-session-webrtc - may be useful for people who do a lot of web conferencing in vivaldi. not sure if vivaldi can access the "chrome media session".
FLoC. The FLoC backend is disabled in vivaldi, so it doesn't really matter.
- #webid - something about federated identity. probably FLoC related.
- vivaldi://settings/privacySandbox now shows a toggle & explanation

Interesting, so they listened to the public asking it back. I'll test it.
-
vivaldi://about doesn't list the profile path any longer
reported: VB-79651

[Tabs] Keep tab preview open when closing tabs (VB-77272)
Wth! I've asked for this one so many times before, and reported it >3 years ago, finally!!!1 (Only reordering is still missing, but it's of lesser importance)

@gwen-dragon
VB-79651at the vivaldi about page there's now a URL, which I clicked to start the browser. is this also a bug or intended? I never noticed that
-
14th, server being hit heavy compared to the stable as snapshot is slow to download
-
@lonm: when the devtools will be localized?
-
[Mail][Performance] Move mail search to SQL Lite, virtual table (VB-78164)
I'm guessing updating the database is why I had a blank mail panel for a minute after opening the snapshot...
And I notice that panel has "(beta)" in the title now.
-
I was wary of updating it when seeing those ominous clouds in the image!
[Menus] V-button submenus don’t close with Arrow left unless first focused (VB-77916)
Thank you! I love the small but important usability fixes like this
-
I cannot access emulated devices in undocked developer tools. The dropdown menu items are far from where i clicked the menu.

Thanks for the new snapshot, the newly translation feature is great -- as Vivaldi is in general!
I do have a question / suggestion regarding this feature. I use Vivaldi with UI language "English (US)", but my preferred language is set to "de-DE" in the accepted languages. So what happens now is that Vivaldi offers to translate a page from DE to EN, which is fine. But not from EN to DE, which is usually no problem, but sometimes annoys me. I think this behavior is intended, but would it be possible to have a setting like "always display translate button" -- independent of the detected language? Would be very appreciated
PS. I hope I didn't overlooked a similar post in the forums... -

Hallelujah!

A little mystified to see this fixed (I'm not even sure what it means, but it seems possibly related):
[Tabs] Inconsistent position of a new tab opened in a tabs stack (VB-79059)But not this (very clear what it means):
[Tabs] Open Tabs in Current Tab Stack" if unchecked in 3.7+ no longer opens a new tab outside of the stack (VB-78730) -
has the call for the tabbar been changed - not checked yet but i have the tabbar under the address bar by positioning at the bottom via the button in settings and then moving it up with a mod
in this snapshot it positions at the bottom so the mod is being ignored [i guess]
if anyone has worked it out it will just save me time and [possibly] much effort
