@kevver11 Is there any History in the tab to go back to?
Long click on the back/forward buttons should show the history.
A link opened in a new tab, or new background tab, has no history until you navigate in that new tab.
-
@pesala: Ah, I see. But is "Stack Tabs by Hosts" supposed to be available all the time? Just like the other one isn't there when there's nothing possible to do, shouldn't this one?
-
@rseiler Agreed. It should not always be available.
Reported as a bug:
(VB-78649) Stack Tabs by Hosts is Always Available
-
@rseiler Yes, because it applies to all tabs and hosts, while the other one only applies to the current tab.
I guess they could detect in code that none of the (potentially hundreds of) tabs have the same host. But that would not be very efficient to do for every right-click just because it's not logical to see the option when it can't do anything.

Can you update Bing search icon for next version?
I created new Bing search, and new blue icon appeared. But I know you make money on this link, and because I use Bing all the time, I copied the url from default Bing search to my newly created Bing search. So, I guess you still make money through that search.Translate is not working good. I often translate https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de and with this translator, it's not translating all. In MS Edge translator works much better. And you need automatic translate per page.
-
@pesala: There were several links clicked, but no history dropdown. I rebooted and the button WORKS OK now.

Both versions have their pros and cons.
no cons for the non-stack users aka nonstacklers :face_savouring_delicious_food:

I’d suggest moving tabs with shortcut anyway.
unrealistic for 99% users :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I agree. The animation needs to be smoother for moving tabs.
-
@pathduck: Yes, I tend to agree, though since it does know it already for "Stack Tabs by Host," in that it's not displayed unless there's >1 of a site, maybe it knows already? I'm not sure.

Re "[Settings][Tabs] Create option to open tabs outside stack (VB-78022)"
What is "Open Tabs in Current Tab Stack" then, because it's not new? It just stopped working for 3.7 (and continues to not work here) if you want a (new) tab to open outside the current tab stack (that is, the UNchecked state).
If there's another option about this, a new one, it's eluding me so far. But why would there be a new one?
-
Any idea what this is meant to mean: [Tabs] Update middle mouse click handling in tabs (VB-78398)?
I presume it's nothing to do with opening a tab in the foreground via middle-click?
-
@Gort no idea. Closing tab by middle click works as usual.
-
Is it just with me, or does calendar show the wrong week number? Here it showing week 15.
-
[Menus][Media] Audio and Video entries not shown when right-clicking a video (VB-78044)
nice, thanks
-
I need to add one more thing. RSS feed icon in side panel don't have notification. It seems that you don't care too much about RSS. Mail and Calendar get much more attention.
First of all, I want an option to put RSS feed icon in address bar. Second, it must be some kind of notification. Maybe colored icon (in orange like in old Opera) when there are new feeds. Or just like you have now on mail side panel icon. -
36th & updated
-
The VB-78236 bug I reported may be fixed too. Thanks!
-
these 2 confirmed bugs for tabs are still not fixed after a very long time. please fix them soon...

I have an idea
What if when you need to do a stack-related stuff you just need to detach tab from the address bar first and you'll get the current tab dragging behavior (well, currently movable tab is already detached so...)
When you don't detach tab from the address bar the previous smooth method would apply.

Right click for context menu is still broken after clicking on an empty trashcan.
In the works for the next snapshot?
