A Novice’s Guide to the Vivaldi browser
-
Johannes Dolven introduces Vivaldi to first-time Vivaldi user and friend Mathis, observes how he uses it and recommends his process to all Vivaldi novices.

@varsha No mention of Mouse Gestures, Quick Command, Web Panel, Notes, Tab Stacking/Pinning etc.
-
Yes, 'the endless browser settings' was also the first thing that caught my attention, apart from unheard of functions that Vivaldi already had in its first version. After using Vivaldi, all other browsers seemed crappy to me, this has not changed to this day.
-
He would also like the ability to “drag and drop” PDFs into a browser window to open a PDF-viewer of the document in the tab. This is just a small inconvenience, but he admits that it would save him some trouble.
That would be better, but one can right-click on the PDF and use Open With, Vivaldi.

I have Vivaldi as PDF reader by default.

and then correct the above because something like this is to encourage and it works the opposite. -

Presumably, you are referring to this:
Drag pop-out window to full screen Yes
Vivaldi's PiP video cannot be dragged out to fullscreen, but only 90.83% of fullscreen: 1744x981 on a 1920x1080 monitor.
What discrepancies do you see in the current article?
-
@pesala: 90.83 does not display full screen (full = 100%, by clicking 2x the left mouse button, this option is missing)
so there is a bug in the comparison tableas far as this article is concerned, there are many important issues missing (see comments above)
I'm not a troll, I care about vivaldi, we have to stick to the facts
-
@Pesala Sumatra is missing from this list
-
@guigirl I bet you gargle from time to time.

By all means point out discrepancies, but you have not pointed out any in this latest blog article.
-
@solidsnake So is Adobe Reader.
-
@TrueErin , PiP is designed to have a floating video on a page where you are working or posting on a social network. To see YT in Fullscreen I go directly to YouTube, in PiP it is absurd.
-
there's a lot of stuff you can configure but somehow a lot of things I'd like to change is still missing, Opera and Firefox spoiled me, I admit, but lack of configurable toolbar (don't believe lies), gestures (again, incomplete) and not working tab opening on tab bar are making me pause for a longest while and wonder what went wrong

Mee too
-
@pesala: this world is built in such a way that not everyone will be satisfied
since my comments are bad, I will be silent forever - (you can comment positively or generally, great)
goodbye.

I have this problem too ... I thought my computer had too little RAM
-
@catweazle: I use PIP for a second screen or TV, thanks to the full screen I don't have to open many windows
in firefox it works great but I wish I only had vivaldi.
-
I think it would be more interesting if no clue was given, like they do when they playtest games. Probably more enlightening too.
-
@TrueErin , in my TV I can acces YT directly via WiFi in fullscreen.
