We have released Snapshot 1.0.330.3 - Trash folder for bookmarks and notes, plus panel hiding
-
Really, isn't there an option to disable asking website password saving globally? I hate to say on every site, not on this site. Also, how does the tab stacking work? From old Opera there was an expand/collapse tab stack button. No button on Vivaldi?
Also, a little more room between Top menu bar (if active) and tab stack wouldn't hurt. Now it's hard to click on the tab stack bar without hitting menu text.

Trash folder have unnecesarry "Delete" menu in popup
And after trying to delete "Trash" folder focus moves one item to the topI've also found a RAM-killer feature in Beta - it still happens in 1.0.330.3
[Win x86 version]
I just got a window with about 60-100 tabs
Something strange happens after restoring a minimized Vivaldiโฆ
When I don't minimize V's window everything is just fine -
Still no history panelโฆ
-
Yes, same thing here.
"Clicking New Note when a folder is highlighted in the Notes overview seems to consistently crash the browser for me.
Anybody else seeing this?" -
I suggest bookmarks sorting "by type" = same as "by title", but folders before other items
Ohโฆ. and Vivaldi is really stupid with national characters
-
Address bar => Bookmark buton => there is a combobox with keyboard filtering
I am totally unable to get filter working with national charsโฆ
I got folder named "sลowniki" and I have to cycle over all folders starting with "s" -
Search bar => same problem with ignoring them
Somebody has told me in forum that it is ok.
No - it's not! It's obvious breaking of system UX conventions

For now, until it's included in the UI, you have to go to chrome://settings/search#pass to set this.

I've been trying to shake out some of the issues with the new Beta like blank or crashing Tabs and believe I've found some Flags that can help.
These two Flags override the Tab "Lazy Load" feature that seems to prevent background Tabs from loading. I'm still not entirely certain that both Flags are necessary but it works for now:
[ [b]Enabled ] vivaldi://flags/#enable-offline-auto-reload
Pages that fail to load while the browser is offline will be auto-reloaded when the browser is online again.[ [b]Disabled ] vivaldi://flags/#enable-offline-auto-reload-visible-only
Pages that fail to load while the browser is offline will only be auto-reloaded if their tab is visible. This Flag stops the Tabs from shutting off and crashing. I had Soundcloud running for several hours and its Tab never tried to shut down. The Default setting allowed it to shut down and it wouldn't 'wake up':
[ [b]Disabled ] vivaldi://flags/#enable-plugin-power-saver
Force on the experimental power saver mode for peripheral plugin content. Overrides content settings.Flag/Experiments to watch:
I assume the Default for Tab Discarding is 'Disabled' but you can check with vivaldi://discards:
vivaldi://flags/#enable-tab-discarding
If enabled, tabs get discarded from memory when the system memory is low. Discarded tabs are still visible on the tab strip and get reloaded when clicked on.I really do not want Vivaldi running at Boot or after it is closed:
[ [b]Disabled ] vivaldi://flags/#enable-push-api-background-mode
Enable background mode for the Push API. This allowsChrome(sic) Vivaldi to continue running after the last window is closed, and to launch at OS startup, if the Push API needs it.Naturally, as I was typing this up the vivaldi://flags Tab I was using for referrals crashed to the pretty black&white crashed Tab look, wouldn't refresh and had to be closed/reopened.

I've been trying to shake out some of the issues with the new Beta like blank or crashing Tabs
In my opinion currently it's the most annoying bug at all
First I've met it in x64 version but it has been popularized since then and in the lastest builds it happens with speed dial tab too
Tab restore button is a blessing - you only have to close and restore tab -
I may go back to the previous Snapshot. The feel and operation of the new Chrome engine installation is as if the motor mounts are loose, the new flywheel has a different offset that doesn't quite match up with the old transmission and the electric fuel pump has a disturbing tendency to shut itself off.
It was mostly working until this morning when I tried to open about twenty background Tabs here in the Forum and I got a bunch of blank, dead Tabs again. I use Startup with (O) Last Session so I closed and restarted Vivaldi to let it load all of the Tabs. That worked.

1. Rearrange stuff on Speed Dial
2. Open any sidebar
3. Brand new experience
-
Hi,
Since the 1.0.330.3 snapshot I experience relatively often a crash when clicking on a Javascript powered link which opens a new window/tab.
Otherwise I love the Vivaldi.
-
"Back" arrow bug just got a new form
In previous build this button worked despite being not showed properly -
Another little drawing issue

Anybody else seeing this?"Thanks, I just submitted a fix for this issue that has gone us by. I'm not sure when it will be in a release for you guys and gals. For reference, the bug filed is VB-11444
