Menu fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2218.29
-
@AltCode Kinda cool reminding us that Vivaldi screenshots must be a priori readable by Jötnar as well
-
@boruta Try disabling your antivirus. They cause more problems than they are worth. Uninstall it and make do with Windows Defender and Firewall (if you do use Windows).
-
@AltCode Hmm, seems to work here. Vertical tabs on the left.
Popup Thumbs OFF
Tab Thumbs OFF:
Popup Thumbs ON
Tab Thumbs OFF:
Popup Thumbs ON
Tab Thumbs ON:
If you try to move multiple tabs at once, the order of the tabs will sometimes change (but not always).
In Private Window it is still impossible to move any tab.
The tab animations does not seem to be smooth anymore.Win10x64 Vx64

@boruta Then, as I suggested earlier, try a Standalone installation. That is best for Snapshots to keep the profile separate for when you want to install the Stable version 3.7.
You can import bookmarks, passwords, and notes from Snapshot to Stable, or synchronise them.
-
Home button still focuses on search bar instead of the address bar.
-
These latest 2 snapshots (I don't know which of them) deleted 2/3 of my bookmarks and I lost settings for refresh web-panels!!!!!!!!!!!11
Update: The bookmarks are only lost in panel, not in tab-view. Strange!
-
@Dancer18 That's a very strange finding. The bookmarks panel and the bookmarks manager take their list from the exact same file. It puzzles me how the panel could fail to display any of them.
When you say "panel," you are talking about the panel at the side of the browser, not the bookmarks bar - yes?
-
@Dancer18 Have you, perhaps, typed something in the search field of the Bookmarks Panel?
-
@Pesala Ooooh, now there is a possibility...
-
@Ayespy I am talking about the sidebar.
@Pesala said in Menu fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2218.29:

I'm not sure. Could be. I maybe overlooked that. Today when open the browser all bookmarks are there.
So at the moment there is one issue left: the new version doesn't save the settings for refresh web-panels.
-
@guigirl I don't know wether it is a bug already in the snapshot 2218.25.
-
@Gwen-Dragon Yes it looks like. Does it concern the snapshot 2218.25 too? Both snapshots come too short after another to see it.
-
Thanks for the quick 'Go to is not properly set up for form fields' fix!
Having the 'classic' (fancier name than 'old' ) version of speed dial restored, I really like the classic look more than the new one. It just seems to be much clearer and thumbnail descriptions are much easier to read / recognize at a glance.
It would be great if this could be retain an option as a speed dial design. -
@potmeklecbohdan Interesting... a font package bigger than a firmware or a real browser :3
Oh.... almost forgot... last!111

BUG?
Can't scroll emojis' window in Instagram.com and can't add the one I want.
Try this:
- login into Instagram
- try to add an emoji to someone's post
- you'll see that the window containing the emojis closes as soon as you try to scroll it
anyone confirms?

[QUESTIONS]
- Why spell checking settings (vivaldi://settings/languages) are not available in Private mode? They must be set/changed in a normal new window and then they'll be available in private mode, too, but why?
- Why many Chrome settings (browse them, starting from vivaldi://settings/people) are not available in Vivaldi preferences?
- What is the "advanced" spell checking option? Why is it greyed?
-
removed, as the bug disappeared with a restart

This post is deleted! -
@Gwen-Dragon
I thought so. But any more exact date than WIR? -
@Nekomajin it's a rule in Vivaldi, don't ask dates as they won't be given, not because they don't want, they don't know.
