Friday poll: Do you use Mouse Gestures?
-
Is it Friday already? * checks calendar * IT IS!!! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth:
This can only mean one thing. It's time for a new Community poll!
This week the question is about one of my personal favourite features in Vivaldi - Mouse Gestures . Let's see how many of you use them.
Cast your vote here: https://vivaldi.net/community-poll-do-you-use-mouse-gestures/.If you answered yes to the poll, let us know which Mouse Gestures do you use the most.

since day 1 when it was invented from old opera
-
@jane-n Ooops!! Hee Hee
-
How am I expected to know? I notice when I don't use them e.g. in a clean profile (coz they're terribly different), but I never know how I did something.
This can only mean one thing.
Proof?

I use them a lot. They are an efficient way to achieve common tasks. There are currently 30 features requests about gestures.
I also use keyboard shortcuts a lot, but oftentimes when my hand is already on the mouse, a gesture is much quicker.
My Gestures
- Left = Back
- Right = Forward
- Up = Scroll to Top
- Down = Scroll to Bottom
- Left, Right = Settings
- Right, Left = Panels
- Down over link = New background tab
- Up, right over link = New foreground tab
- Down, Up = Reopen closed tab
-
I use gestures so much, it's infuriating when I need to use another machine or even some other apps like IDEs that I think would benefit from gestuse.
(other machines are particularly annoying as gestures are not synced yet).
-
I use them, but not massively.
I mostly use history back, history forward, page top, page bottom and reload tab. -

By the way,
The link to explain what are Mouse Gestures is broken:https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/shortcuts/mouse-gestures/ (opens%20in%20a%20new%20tab

@Zalex108 How about Face Gestures?
Currently we have a problem to use them...
Once fixed will be very comfortable once yawn will be excluded from "Launch Karaoke at Max Volume"! -
@Zalex108 Oops! Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed it now

Mouse Gestures?
No, I am fine with buttons, Keyboard Shortcuts and Mouse Shortcuts
-
You reminded me that I was using it in original Opera.
Then forgot about it. And I don't know why, but I don't use them now and don't have enthusiasm to try it again.I have a mouse with tilt wheel, where tilt to the left bound to "Previous Page" and tilt right to "Next Page", it look enough for me.

Me too. Although I used it long time ago in Opera. Maybe I can find an opportunity to use it beside my shortcuts.

I have a custom mouse shortcut: mouse_side_button + wheel for zooming

@Stardust my elbow is usually located not too far from Ctrl key

Do I use mouse gestures?
I'm at the point where I accidentally perform mouse gestures when I'm using other software.

I love a lot mouse gestures
I use since Opera 5 (or 6, not remember the first version with this feature)My preferred
- alternate click = back/forward
- right button hold down + mouse wheel = change tab
- down over link = open in new tab
- down-up over link = open in new tab in background
- right-left-right = close tab (gesture customized like true Opera)
Ps
Sorry for my english...
