Private Tabs

Will Vivaldi have private tabs (just tabs so you can have normal and private tabs mixed together) like old Opera? (e.g. 12.17)

Private browsing is under the "File" menu.

Yes, BUT that only allows "Private Window".
Not sure if Vivaldi will support "Private Tabs" in a "Normal Window" - although as each tab is a separate process, maybe in future?

The developers have posted that private tabs is rather more complicated to code than private windows (which Chromium already supports). and that they may look at private tabs at some time after they have achieved a Stable Vivaldi release.

We have a stable release now don't we?
Opera 12 had it, Firefox has via an addon and Otter Browser has had it for 3 years! https://github.com/OtterBrowser/otter-browser/issues/237 -
@opticyclic: That's nice. Vivaldi doesn't have it yet. There are other priorities ahead of it - like mail, sync, docking dev tools, Improved/upgraded history, the ability to turn auto updates on and off, newsreader, etc. Plus by my count, they are squashing something like 15-30 bugs a day. So there's that...
Also, Devs have at no point said "we will for sure have private tabs," nor "we will get that for you right away." Some time ago they said they would probably look at it. I haven't seen it mentioned by them recently. That's not to say it won't be developed. There's just no emphasis on it right now. And it will require a major browser re-design.
Don't give up, though. You'll never get what you don't demand...

@Ayespy As a previous Opera (12) user, I love Vivaldi. But I just cannot get myself to fully switch to it until it has private tabs. The ability to have 1 browser window with normal tabs and a few you just don't want to have history on, or mix accounts (another useful feature of private tabs) is a basic usability thing. I hope it will get some priority! As long at it's not implemented, I keep going back to FireFox.
