Open new tab next to active tab
-
Hey The browser is coming along nicely. I still think this option is sorely missing: Open new tab next to active tab (instead of at the end of the tab list) In my opinion that's the this should even be the default behavior (why would I want related tabs to be so far away?), but everyone has different preferences so it should definitely should be an option. Also, eagerly awaiting sync.

This is a heavily requested feature and, I'd assume, will probably come in the future. For now, see this post.
-
I really hope that it will NOT be a default behavior. It's THE most annoying feature…
With it I just cannot remember where are my newly opened tabs, because they open "at random" (for me), when I open them from more than one tab.

Which brings us back to the "new tab in foreground/background" option discussion as well!

Try this extension Tab Position Options, solves your problem.

Indeed so. Tabs opening in the background, next to the currently active tab seems more logical to me, personally. I could also be in the minority, considering that it seems most browsers are doing the opposite of that by default.

That's exactly what I want as well. I got it in Firefox thanks to an addon.

Tiamarth - Thank you for the suggestion. I installed this extension and it works great.

For the record that extension works great, but for obscure reasons gets disabled each time you upgrade Vivaldi.
I'm testing Tab to the next right now.
It doesn't seem to be affected, and works great as well.Never tested the one linked by Folgore, though

Hi, do you know if there is an extension for cards that functions correttemente for the sequence in closing?
Extensions posted above work well for the order at the beginning, but in order of closing always want as Vivaldi. -
The one I'm using has just the option.
On tab close: select left/select right

But it works or passes always active tab earlier, ignoring the setting?
Are you talking about the extension that you posted in message # 39061? If you, give me an error when i try to install it. -
