Right click menu over Web-link
-
Hi. In previous releases of Vivaldi was possibility to right-click on selected web link an then choose "Goto htp://www. .......". From now there is only "Search ..." instead. Is there any possibility to give back option "GoTo" web-link? Thanks (sorry for my English) Attachments:

Hi.
In previous releases of Vivaldi was possibility to right-click on selected web link an then choose "Goto htp://www. …."But if you simply left-click the link, doesn't that go to it? In other words, why do you want "Go to" to appear in the right-click menu? Also, what Vivaldi version are you using?

Not every link is click-able (see attached picture 1). For example in some forums threads, blogs etc. Links are typed in plain text (without hypertext) so you have to copy-paste them in to address bar. In previous version of Vivaldi (until Snapshot 1.0.288.3) was that function. I was able to select plain text which contained link (like in the picture 2) and if Vivaldi have recognized hyper link in that selected text it offered "GoTo" to that page.
From Snapshot 1.0.291.18 only offer to search "selected text" in default search engine. And of course, now I am using Snapshot 1.0.291.18.

I'm glad I'm not alone.
I hope that someone competent will read this topic and return this feature back.

New release, same problem.
Is there any place on the forum, where people form Vivaldi answering question about their product?
Are they reading these topics? -
I have witnessed, first hand, replies from Vivaldi staff to users on these forums. This coupled with how many bugs and features reported and requested from the majority of the userbase have been solved and implemented, I'd say the devs are definitely listening to the community.
In the mean time, here are some resources you might find helpful:
-
Official thread for feature requests: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/all/746-vivaldi-feature-request
-
Official thread announcing the bug wizard, that people are now using as a thread for bug reports on the Windows platform: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser/1758-bug-wizard

There's no public bug tracker as yet, but some of us are still holding out hope that there will be, some day.

Yes they are great. They doing job very well. And I am very pleased for it.
I just don't understand why they are removing working functions which are already present . -
It seems likely to me that they didn't intentionally remove this so much as something new or modified broke it. I could also be completely wrong, but I'll play the optimist for now.
