Speed dial, thumbnails are still broken. They are all gray and do not update.
Just read carefully the release notes.
Ongoing thumbnails issues for speed dials (and elsewhere): we are working on a big rewrite but it is not ready yet
READ?!? are you kidding? You ask too much of users!

Panel Toggle is broken.

Panel Toggle is broken.
Not here. What is your platform? Also, what is your "open with" option?

AH! I figured it out! If you want to have the little stripe with the tiny triangle next to the panel as your toggle, it will only close, not open the panel (because it disappears when the panel closes).
I mistook the button at the bottom left as being what you meant by "panel toggle." My bad.
You're right. It's broken. I didn't see it because I keep that little stripe turned off and use the toggle button on the status bar instead.

This button is so tiny and too close to the win7 start menu so it's unusable for me.

Hi, it seems there's a problem for me using flash on this build, I get "Couldn't load plugin" on Youtube and others. Can't install Flash from Adobe's website as it says "Your Google Chrome browser already includes Adobe Flash Player built-in. Google Chrome will automatically update when new versions of Flash Player are available."
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
edit: Fixed it using this link to reinstall Flash:

Ah! I use it (rarely, because I mostly just keep the panel visible), because it's in a good spot for me, since I only have the browser occupying the right 75% of the display. Opera Mail is open with its panel and mail list visible underneath the browser (except when in focus) in the left 25%. When focused, Opera Mail occupies the left 75%, leaving my browser tabs, on the right, visible.
When we get email, I may reconsider this, as that will mean that Vivaldi is maximized all the time.

I can't update, keeps saying update failed.

Are you using Windows Vista? I used to have the same problem "update failed, please check internet connection".
I upgraded to Windows 7. Now automatic update works flawlessly. -
I am sorry to admit, but it seems every update you produce is worse then the earlier one. This is not the way things are suppose to go.
Thumbnail bugs, favorite bugs, speed dial bugs, tools bugs, zoom bugs continue to persist, they are even growing larger by every update.
It seems you are very, very far from even a beta, not to mention a stable release.

@romeo.frenksen:
I am bit confused. I understand that the little button on the buttom left is used for switching panel on and off. Additionally, the bar on the left only is used for hiding the panel. To me as a long time Opera user, this is a new behaviour as I would have expected to get the panel back by clicking on the outer left end of the window. To be honest, this is the reason for me to come back to this forum as I wanted to file in a bug.
The developers are well aware of the bug and are fixing it. It has been much discussed.

Perhaps you should wait until there is at least a Beta. Regressions are common in alpha and pre-alpha software while new options and features are being introduced, especially when, as here, the team has to adapt to a continually changing code base (Chromium). People who do this sort of testing are comfortable with these facts, so perhaps testing is not for you.

Great feature I didn't even know I needed.
One feature I know I need which isn't available yet is keyboard shortcuts to speeddial pages like in Opera. CTRL+1-9 for speeddial pages.
Is that something that is planned for a future snapshot? -
