Could be a flash problem??
Adobe test flash page says flash is up to date though!? -
Any news on this?
I have a similar problem as shown in the pic attached. This only happens with twitter videos.
EDIT: I'm on linux btw. I was going to create a new thread but then I found this

I've also got a problem with viewing twitter video(s)

"This browser does not support video playback."

Some information that might be useful to everyone in this thread:
-
Sites that use video playback in html instead of Flash may not work correctly. This is because Vivaldi doesn't currently support some video codecs that html video playback requires (specifically H.264).
-
Vivaldi is based on Chromium. So when downloading Flash, select the PPAPI version for Opera and Chromium. You can download Flash Player here.
-
For some basic troubleshooting steps you can take, see this post.
-
A lot of people have been reporting broken plugins in Vivaldi, and at least some of that might be due to Chromium cutting back on its support for NPAPI plugins.
Some information that might be useful to people having this issue on Linux (@andreasyeah):
-
Adobe support for Flash on Linux isn't great, and it's possible that recent changes in some websites might have broken it for you. For example, playback on Hulu is broken for many, many people on Linux right now, and it seems to primarily caused by Adobe's general lack of interest in supporting the Linux user base. See this thread.
-
To install PPAPI Flash on Linux, look into installing the package "pepperflashplugin-nonfree." Users on Debian and Debian-based distros can use this command in the terminal to install PPAPI:
$ sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree

Thanks for the reply.
Flash works just fine on other sites including facebook. I know that I have flash installed and I've tried the "delete all sites" option and I've checked that it's there from vivaldi://plugins. I've tried disabling it and check other sites, and they all stop working with flash disabled, which implies that it's working properly when it's enabled.
I think it's an issue with twitter only and not flash related.
Videos on twitter work just fine on Chrome, and they are both using the exact same library for flash.

I'm not 100% positive, but it looks like Twitter uses html5 for video playback. If that's the case, that's what would cause it to not work in Vivaldi.

Latest snapshot 1.0.283.8 (Developer Build) (64-bit) / Windows 7 64-bit
Twitter videos are not working, you get this error: This browser does not support video playback.
In Twitter: Videos don't play. Vine videos don't play, GIFs don't play.
-
Linux users should follow the directions at https://gist.github.com/ruario/bec42d156d30affef655 to get video working right in the current snapshot.
Unfortunately, there is no option for Windows users at this time. (See my walls-o'-text in the snapshot blog comments for details.) For Windows users, I suggest reverting to the previous snapshot; this will at least get you video working on sites with non-H.264 content again (most of them).

It's a known problem due to the recent changes to the media code.
Downgrade to an earlier snapshot. Or wait the next one. The problem is already fixed internally.

I had same problems with videos, but with Last snapshot 1.0.288.3 / Windows 10 64 bit some of this have been solved
now GIFs are working, still have problems with videos in twitter (twitter, vimeo, etc). -
