URL sharing via QR code and an update to Chromium 87 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2110.3

@Valdyn //edit: I think there are some issues in feeds which must be fixed.
-
I'd add a new option to "Display Close Button": "Permanently on the Current Tab".
That will solve poor visibility of the current tab which occurs when some themes are used (dark themes with accent colors, for example). -
anyone else has problems with favicons? after closing/reopen vivaldi and starting with last session, all favicons are not loaded except the last opened tab.
windows10 1909 -
@derDay confirmed also on win7 32bit
-
@Gwen-Dragon
at the tabbar. if auto-reload is activated and the tab has reloaded in background, the favicon is also back again -
@Ruarí Same in the French version.
-
I updated to the new version and set the "new tab position" to open "after active tab". Unfortunately the links still open after the last tab if opened in the foreground. On the other hand, they actually open next to the active tab if opened in the background. Can somebody confirm? Do I have a problem in my setup?
-
@Ornorm Probably the same issue as JavaScript & Highlight Base Domain.
-
@nutcracker: It's not you. Opening a new tab, for example, ignores the setting.
-
on this build, all icons on the background tabs are permanently spinning...
-
-
I have 'Lazy Load Restored Tabs' set, but when I startup now all the tabs except the focused one show loading spinners that never stop until the tab is selected. Since I have hundreds of tabs/stacks open this is not usable!
Anyone else seeing?
On Ubuntu 18.04, Debian Buster and Win 10

rseiler was kind enough to confirm that "open tab next to active" is not working (when the link is opened in foreground, I add). So now we have a QR code but not a proper tab function. For me it's absolutely counter productive. I use the mouse and mouse gestures almost exclusively, so I have to switch through 15 intermediate tabs to go to my newly opened tab! Unless I open the link in a background tab next to the active and afterwards wheel my way to the next tab, but is this really serious?
-
@nutcracker I can confirm the issue on macOS.
MacBook Pro Early 2015 | macOS 10.12.6 Sierra | Vivaldi 3.5.2110.3

On the possible "good news" front, are recent dead bird issues resolved (it usually happens about a minute after the page loads)?
I've been testing against Yahoo sites, which are probably the most common ones mentioned, and I've yet to reproduce the issue.

@lonm: Hello "LonM"
Where should I write the Mod code? Where can I find information about all this?
Thanks in advance -
@wetware05 Hi,
Read this post to learn how to apply a CSS mod in Vivaldi.
-
@hadden89: He/She's talking about the RSS feed from this blog not working...
-
@Vistaus tnx I misread... fixed
-
@lonm: I still see DNS over HTTPS in the flags section, it just says "Not available on your platform" (it's not available for Linux yet). Using the latest snapshot 2110.3, just like you.
