crazy super first again

This is a neat feature addition. It's also good to see that the web page context menu and links menu are also being worked on. Can't wait for them.
Cheers!
-
Is it only for me, or the Restore Default Menu button restores all the menus, not just the selected one?
-
That's an awesome feature that I look forward to explore.
But where all those customization is stored? I want to be able to backup the changes I make so I can restore it after a fresh PC format. -
@kaxtru If you find your profile folder (in
vivaldi://about
), you can back up and restore thecontextmenu.json
andmainmenu.json
files. -
Wooooow, this looks just awesome!
-
How can we enter those icons in the menu?
-
@solidsnake They are emoji. Press Windows key + period.

'we are working on opening up the context menus on a web page and those on a link on a web page.'
i'm waiting for this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Thanks for the share of this blog spot.
Unfortunately, all icons don't seem to work properly. In the Vivaldi Settings, they are correctly displayed :
But, in the menu itself :
Edit : works when the icon is placed on the right of the name .
And the "Bookmarks" one isn't displayed in the main menu but works in the submenu :
Is there a rule about icons to use? (I take mine from emojipedia.org
Edit2 Adding a
&
before the name solved the issue for those three specific icons but I still don't understand the reason of it. -
@nekomajin: They've just fixed it in this evening update.
[Menus][Settings] βRestore to defaultβ resets all menus not only the chosen menu (VB-73132)
This people at Vivaldi are unbelievable.
-
I wish there was just one single tickbox that would put in icons in the menus. Hunting for the right emojis sounds tedious, I miss interfecase with icons accompanying texts.
-
@felagund There are a lot of emojis from which to choose. One needs to know their names to find them quickly with a search. I cannot think of an easier way than what already exists with WinKey+Period. One can see the emoji name in the tooltip.
-
Great work! Always love more options
Please consider being able to share settings (like themes) and install them through your site. Also making right click context menu customizable would make this perfect!
-
@solidsnake
Yep, I've just updated. -
@Ornorm
I think it's because the menu tries to use the emoji as an anchor for keyboard shortcuts, which breaks the emoji, so you need to assign a different anchor. -
Are changes like this also synchronized between different Vivaldi browsers on different PCs?
-
@Ornorm Nice work. Last night i experienced the same hassle as you, & never solved it then wrt icons at the beginning, but like you i discovered that they all worked if i moved the icons to the ends... it just doesn't look quite as cool.
Tonight, after seeing your post, i decided to try again with them back at the start, which predictably broke some of them again, so then i tried your ampersand trick. It mostly did not work.
Bwaaaaaaaah.

@Steffie Add the & in front of the word, not emoji.
