Hi,
I would like to suggest to Add Cat Gestures to Vivaldi.
Thank you.

@Zalex108 Makes sense, we could make many more unique gestures and wouldn’t be confined to the mousedimensional mess we have right now. Gesture like a predator, that’s where it’s at

I want Snake game in the gestures pane!
-
Took me ~10 mins to understand.
Do new computers have plugs compatible with cats already? I can’t believe a device has been introduced long before being actually usable.

@potmeklecbohdan Don’t you have the CS/2 port on your motherboard? If not, time to upgrade…
-
@luetage said in Cat Gestures:
CS/2
Error sqrt(404): too many meanings
- Cat System/2 (has there already been a Cat System/1?)
- C# 2.0
- Counter-Strike 2 (uh oh, it doesn’t seem to have versions)
- Czech 2.0
- uhm, the list could be infinite, but lazy eval next item took too long & had to be killed…
-
@potmeklecbohdan It’s 2 because you operate with both paws
-
Face Gestures could be executing with both hands full.
I wonder why no one has voted for it yet?
-
@Pesala Probably because the meme is outworn. Go with the times.
-
@luetage You are so wrong it is funny.
In 2009 it seemed ridiculous, as it was meant to be.
Nowadays it is perfectly feasible. Ten more years from now we may be controlling devices with Neuralink.

So, I actually have one mouse gesture I created that exceeds the 5 stroke limit. I'm not at my desk, and I can't recall exactly how I did it. It was either similar to this, like steps, or multiple circles. I must have hit a bug, but once I had it, I didn't want to change it. Hopefully it hasn't been truncated by an update. I'll try to find out tonight or tomorrow. Right now, we're watching the end of the Vuelta stage and then I have to go up in the attic to measure some studs and prep our autumn cleaning up there.
Now that I think about it, I'm fairly certain it was a double circle, plus one edge. So a 9 stroke gesture.
-
@BoneTone Making a Letter P with five strokes works for me. GestureUp, Right, Down, Left, Down.
I just created it to open a New Private Windows.
-
@Pesala right, 5 strokes is the limit, I have many mouse gestures that use 5 strokes, including various letter Ps.
Edit: if you continue adding strokes after 5, it'll create the gesture with only the last 5, assuming that's not already in use.

Cat gestures will cause bugs with most mouse models and could be actually risky for most devices.
Totally against them, please consider not to implement, devs. Would be a real catastrophe for the project -
@Hadden89 It certainly requires some paws for thought. In my opinion mouse gestures should be easy to execute and not too complex.
Diagonal Gestures would be useful.
-
Totally agree. Diagonal gestures are fine and paw-centric gestures may injure the user navigation.
Plus, the nail module could hang in the UI render which is totally unwanted behaviour.
It could be a pawerful system but we are not ready for it yet.@potmeklecbohdan Cats always supported devices and charge.
-
It would integrate some more Settings:
Low Cat' Gesture DPI
Gaming Cat' Gesture DPI
-
@Zalex108 The low cat gesture doesn’t strike me as accurate. This needs some more work until integration.
